I know I was dead for probably 2 years at this point (maybe longer seeing as it was a sputtering point even then. I was mostly active alot during 2015-2016 in the ego community as a member) but is any of the admins I knew still around??? Were is everyone?

I knew after I stopped playing for that duration that q-tip had to leave but from the looks of it even on my steam friends list... everyone I knew is gone as well. for up to 2 years even for some. I might just be overlooking though due to lack of tags.

kingswe, deathwatcher, megs, crom, harbinger (or starbuck?), sturm bruder, london blitz (rest in peace). I could go on.

I know there was more but short of digging for names I've forgotten... Kinda feels like walking into an empty house you lived in when you were a kid.

Is anyone still around?
 
Some of the old timers trickle in and out, haven't seen a good number of the previous leaders for awhile now.
 
I'm still around, but with a newborn in the house have barely had time to sit down at my PC. I come on to the forums to check things out, but its fairly quiet in the DOD:S section.
 
Well... I'll try and seed the server a bit. Hope some of the older few come around more.

I'd hate to see dod's section fold up completely. from what i understand its what started this entire group to begin with. john and all coming up with it. Idk. I'll have to see if anyone in the rangers are still kicking as well but it seems its been dead for a year almost as well.
 
Im still around, I drop in the forums from time to time. The Avalanche server seems dead everytime I check it to go play.
 
Real life has taken over for me - I have little motivation to game anymore. It looks like Avalanche has seen very few players in the past week, and the past 24 hour by the graph looks totally empty... It's sad. But we knew it was coming.

I miss a lot of people and the great times we had daily on the servers though.
 
Hey all, LONG time pubber here. I've noticed that the server has been dead the last few weeks. Hoping it will come back alive soon. The other servers aren't doing it for me. PogChamp

eGO could start by getting the server up to the previous standard. Rank, medic, afk kicker and all the other things don't work!

We could hope some of the old players came back if it was up to date again. eGO, Please don't give up yet on our old good DODS!!! :crying:

I have returned. Been away due to military training. Getting back into the games I used to know and love.

Redstar, thank you for displaying items that are not working. I agree it is important to get these things back up and running.

It is stated that rank, medic, afk kicker are not working. Are there other non-functional items that ya'll would like to see back on the server? Are there things that are not on the server which would be fun? List them out and lets see if we can't task the tech team to consider updating the server.
 
I dropped by the forums now and then. I don't play too much, mostly Rocket League.
 
I looked at the gametracker chart for the past week and the server only once hit above 16 players this week. Is stuff incredibly broken? What happened so quickly? Has anyone been in the server to check it?

I don't currently have the game installed since I reset everything on my machine. No time to game either.

Kind of interesting because SteamCharts report the last two months DoD:S has had a slight bump in average players online too.

Let's bring back Realism ! I would love to do those historical campaigns once again ! It would promote activity on our servers as well

We stopped doing realism probably close to 3 years ago after continuing to push to keep it going. We couldn?t get enough people anymore (less than 7-8) and had to stop. We kept trying to keep it up for about a year. It was a ton of fun but we don?t have an active base to start such a thing up again, unfortunately.
 
The server is running without any of the plugins/scripts currently.

Medic does not work. (affects gameplay)

The rank system is off, idc about that.(does not affect gameplay)

Also custom mods like changing textures for models is now allowed. (everyone looks like bright red or pink army men to me since I have custom textures when I play on other servers; affects gameplay)

Take a look at the server if you can.
