Complete Disappointment

I’m not going to lie and say that there isn’t issues with ego, and to be frank, the comment the anonymous player made brings up a good point, And yes I agree he could have worded that better and not have made the comment about leadership being “retards”. A few leadership members on this thread said something about speaking up and making a complaint and that there are ways to do this but recently i have seen it’s not the best system. Recently a player was banned on TeamSpeak for something he probably shouldn’t have(I’m not going into details) he made a contest ban but it got denied, he made a contact leadership post with the complaint against the leadership player. The complaint was swiftly and completely ignored and not followed at all, after this happend i made a contact leadership about it and it is being dealt with. Yes I know it is being dealt with after my complaint but that’s not the issue, the issue is that when a valid complaint was made by someone who was banned, it got swept under the carpet to never be spoken about again, had I not spoken up I believe nothing would have happend. I even got called in and spoke to a community manager about this but the player was accused of giving things to me to say. If our community is to continue thriving like it has for 13 years issues with leadership need to be addressed regardless of who they come forme. It’s sad that it had to be a complaint from an admin before it even got looked into. I love ego and I have spent a lot of time within the community but I don’t want such a good community to fall because of these issues, again I really love eGO but this needs to change

Just so you are aware, the exact situation you are referencing was already being investigated by myself and our Community Manager who is in charge of Admin Training and Professional Standards prior to your complaint.

I’d rather not argue with you but if this is the case the Leadership memeber who dealt with the complain could have shown it a little better, completely shutting down the complaint saying after discussing it with other LE members you were in the wrong, I’m now closing this thread, have a good evening. Does not seem like something that you would respond if t is being looked into, again maybe I’m missing what was actually happening but from the players point of view. The complaint got shut down and ignored.

I'm not sure why there would be an argument. I was simply stating that the situation was brought to my attention before your complaint was made and that I was investigating it. It is my job to make sure our leadership members are following the rules and acting according to our code of conduct. USCG Hammer's job is to make sure our professional standard is followed and that our admins are doing their jobs correctly.

The leadership members who "shut down the complaint" and closed the thread had no knowledge that I was investigating it, hence why the thread was closed despite me starting a to look into it.

Again, we're not going to argue because there's no argument to be had.

Ok, thank you for clarifying that, but this can tie into other points. When leadership discuss things with members great things can happen and it justness makes ego a better place.

And about me saying I don’t want to argue, that’s just me making sure that we keep a calm and civil discussion as I believe that those within leadership are good people but there is some garbage they have to deal with which can change a person and cause them to end up being angrier towards other people.

Shiv, that seems like a well thought out and written post. Though it was blanketed. If a cop held you at gun point for not being on CAD (unless it was some sort of a RP) you gotta report it. If leadership is doing things you feel is not right or unfair you gotta bring it to us. As former leadership yourself you know not everything is in your control. But we?lol need info/names to go from

I'm glad it was well-received. In regards to the Cop&CAD Situation - I unfortunately do not know their name, nor do I wish any action be taken against them as the situation has passed and it seems that leadership is listening. Also shortly after another eGO Ranked member told me I had to request access on the forums for it to work properly.

Henceforth I will report any issues I have or see to senior administrators, as I am planning on making more of an effort to be active in the community; unfortunately for me real life takes precedence and I'm unable to spend as much time as I'd like.
