New Hardware My new pc

So finally after settling down after a move, new job, new car, and other family stuff going to be getting a new pc. Should have it by late september and its going to be my first pc build i do by myself these are going to be the parts i use can i get some comments to see if im missing anything? Plus any thoughts on my current stuff?

Intel - Core i9-9900K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor
NZXT - Kraken X72 Liquid CPU Cooler
Asus - ROG STRIX Z370-F GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Corsair - Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
(2 x) Western Digital - Blue 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
EVGA - GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB FTW3 ULTRA GAMING Video Card

Looks good to me . Unless you want/need a Sound Card , which I don't have :thumbup1:
 
I gotta ask, why are you choosing to go with Intel over AMD? Is it just preference or is there actually a well thought out reason?

That CPU is the #1 in terms of gaming performance. Paired with the 2080 Ti, there's really nothing to hinder the 9900K's performance against AMD's CPUs, including the Ryzen 9 3900X
 
Gaming today just as it has been still prefers higher per core performance, which makes intel the go to for strictly gaming. Coupled with the fact that games still aren't even really using I believe more than 4 cores, AMD still isn't a better option over intel for gaming.
 
How do you figure? Intel has a better single core performance, however, when running a multi-cored game, AMD prevails over Intel all day long, and numerous tests have proven it. 90% of newer games utilize multi-core/multi-thread CPU's.

Newer games are more multi-cored, but many are not at a point where 3900's extra cores will make a difference. So again, if it's based on pure gaming performance, the 9900K is best for gaming for now. But if you're using the PC for other stuff where multiple cores can be better utilized (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, CAD, etc.) then the 3900X becomes the better, overall value/performer.

I hate to say it but he's right... Intel has always had the edge on AMD for gaming but I've always preferred AMD as they have had consumer line 6 and 8 core chips for years.

Ugly! Don't disable HT; I don't think anyone willingly disables HT since the P4 days.
 
Nice build but why use 2 1080p monitors when you have a 2080ti, like maybe a 1080 144hz and then a 4k 60hz or 1440 144hz because it seems to me like crazy overkill with what you have to only be running at 1080p.
 
Its those monitors because i already own them i dont need to buy new ones. I added them like that to just show what monitors i will be using

At one point it's just a flex in most benchmarks it's either Ryzen ahead or behind by a bit

That's the same as saying the i9900 is either ahead or behind by a bit.

Then in that case you look at prices and Intel & their socket motherboards tend to be more expensive

True, but then again, Intel's CPU were better than AMD's CPUs before Ryzen 9 was released. AMD competed against Intel with prices; like getting 90% of the performance for 70% of the price (as a rough example).

That doesn't apply with the new Ryzen 9 chipset. The X570 chipset for AMD is equally priced, if not more expensive than Intel's Z390 at the moment. And that is to be expected; the Z390 chipset is older and more mature, being on the market longer means that chipset manufacturers have had more time to make production smoother and more cost-efficient. X570, being the new kid on the block, will take some time before it can compare in both price and variety against its older competitor. Give it another year, and we'll see a lot more X570 mobos in the sub-$200 range, much less sub-$300.
