I don't know why or how to replicate this but on the server I've had 4 reports on TTT_Rats that players are dying when doing the most random things from doing /menu or just walking around. I personally felt this on TTT_Pool when I was just standing there and just started spectating a different player and my body was identified I was just standing there

What should be happening instead?

You shouldn't be dying...

Its the most random thing but its been happening to other players as well and if demos weren't broken I could share it

Its hard to pinpoint its source as its super random

I can confirm that this is a bug, I have had this happen to me in the past. I will try and reproduce or capture logs of this happening; and file issue according.

I was able to think about this a little bit more and believe that it's somehow thinking you still have the team menu open so if you press something like 2 or space bar, it will assign you to the CT team which will slay you.

It has happened 5 times now. 3 times on waterpark, once on closequarters, and 1 time on peach castle. I pick up a gun and its like I get moved to spectator or dead instantly. Logs dont say anything.

What should be happening instead?

I dont die when I pickup a gun start of round

I cant replicate it, it happens randomly

Ive seen this happen to a few pew, Im pretty sure 4g0tt3nSou1 had this happen to him a few days ago.

Unless it isn't actively visible, I don't think so, I have had it happen to me, and others. Nothing interesting in client logs

well i have never tried it but i think i have tried it still though, so when we change map i just press enter really fast to get on a team, but its bugged out so i still have the team menu up even though im in the pre mode to get guns but if i press on CT team i will die i can try and replicate this if this is the issue

I think Custom Stats was right on this, the player .Trace was typing, they hit enter then hit enter again. They got slayed and ended up on the ct team. Is there any fix for this?
