Create a SUPER strict anti-delay quota

One huge problem I see with many wardens on JB is the fact that it takes way too long for them to initiate a game. Luckily, my big brain has come up with a genius solution to this issue!

The simple solution is to create a timer whereas the warden must initiate a game by a certain amount of time from when cell doors open. The idea is that the server will automatically revoke warden from a player if they fail to meet the timer.

I think that this would be a good idea because it would discourage server disruption by pressuring wardens to get the round going and not keep T's waiting to play a game until they are unmuted.

To make this concept even better, we could add a 3-strikes and you're out!(TM) system whereas if this has happened three times to a player, it will automatically give them a day ban. This is similar to the karma ban system TTT has, especially from the iconic chat message which couples the delay ban.

My suggested chat messages:
1. "[JB] ANTI-DELAY: PLAYER has been revoked as warden! (WARNING 1/3)"

2. "[JB] ADMIN: Kicked player PLAYER (reason: ANTI-DELAY: PLAYER has been revoked as warden! [WARNING 2/3])"

3. "[SM] ADMIN: Banned player PLAYER for 1440 minutes (reason: You've been banned because you've hit the delay threshold!)."

I feel like the day ban is a bit harsh, maybe just like a 30 minute revoke. Also =, how would the server know when the warden played a game? and there should be like a 30 second warning.

Well, the point of this is to be rather aggressive to wardens.

Anyways, I recently talked with Larry about this and I have some additions that I would like to make,

1. Auto-disable the plugin for the round whenever special days are initiated.

2. Make the time flexible via a set position, ex. if game is not started between selection of warden and 30 seconds before prisoners are unmuted then the plugin is initiated. This will also encourage CTs to pursue warden.

3. Reset timer every time a warden dies.

-1 this seems too aggressive. there are some situations where it isn't possible to start a game quickly (offering health, pardoning rebellers, getting to the game in the first place) and i think it would lead to wardens being fast and reckless becuase they don't want to be revoked. how are wardens supposed to let the plugin know that a game has been started? i do agree that there is unnesacary delay sometimes, but it's adminable.

Definite -1 for me, as lily said, games can take a while to get to. If there’s a lot of players then odds are wardens gonna make em crouch walk which takes a long time. Giving st to players can take a while. Or if the ts rush vents the wardens not going to move the ts right away because they don’t want to die. If it is really bad delay the admins should handle it.

Revoking somebody's warden in the middle of their round seems like a pretty bad idea. It's just going to cause more chaos.

You gave me another idea.

I refuse because of the way you formatted your posts.

Add a rule so previous command stands, similar to what happens when warden passes.

It seems like a pretty pointless thing to make tech team work on, tell warden to pursue if there's an admin on get them to fire/revoke easy. -1

ONE MORE IDEA, when it comes to wardens, we have two issues.

1. Warden hog.

2. Nobody else queues.

I believe that the solution to this issue is a warden queue. We should make it similar to the CT queue but one without priority. This way, every person has an equal shot at being warden without worrying about people warden hogging or nobody else striving to be warden.

This will not work. Some maps take longer to get to games, rebellion happens, new players are always trying to learn how to become a warden, etc, etc. Each round is situational and a system such as this will not allow new players develop as a jailbreak player. If you believe a player is delaying feel free to report it to admin chat or even steam message an admin and let them handle it. Jailbreak is a very flexible game mode and it requires a very lose system to be able to allow it to be played.

This wouldn't work for all the reasons listed above. Some examples:
obama is a super rebel-heavy map. This would be very difficult to set up for a map like this, because people would keep rebelling. Unless you have a very good warden with a team of good cts, the warden would get revoked.
Chicken Island is a larger map. Safely getting from cells to box climb outside or crane of love (whatever it's called) takes much longer to get there. Unless you have a warden that knows how to manage many ts quickly and making sure they don't get away or rebel, the warden will be revoked.
There was a player earlier today that has never been warden before and was trying to learn the commands, how to place markers, etc. It took him a while to get to a game. It would become impossible for him to learn warden effectively or quickly because every time he got it he would be revoked.

There's also no real need for tech team to work on a project like this and it would also be very hard to create. How would this interact with anything else added? How would it check if a game was being played?

Finally, if a warden isn't pursuing the round enough to require a swap or ban, then you should try to help the warden pursue the round rather than just jump to "oh he should be banned". If he's doing it out of malice, just contact an admin. You can usually find one willing in TS.

You say add a queue but if there are 5 cts and only 2 people press !w thats 50% its just that the other cts dont really want to warden thats why you have the same warden multiple times in a row. Ive been back 1 1/2 days playing on jail ttt and comp. When im on jail ive seen other admins and players saying somebaody take warden ti the cts with mics. Tbh i dont like playing ct i just like to be helper so i rarley took warden in the past or sometimes i jumped on ct just to keep ratio. I only took warden when i was last ct alive with mic (other cts alive but no mics). Instead of pressing !w it should auto give warden randomly to a ct like how detective randomly gets chosen in ttt, and that ct has to be warden at least 2 min before he has option to pass. If the ct doeant have a mic they can ask in admin chat to pass. If this was possible it would be more random then the !w. We would keep the !w so when warden dies some1 else can take it but only the beggining of the round all cts automaticlly in a lottery for warden even if they want to or not

As for the main thing you cant make a plugin for that because to many variables to account for. Would the plugin start once cells open or when round starts? What happens if it starts when cells open and while your warden i opens cells without your permission you cant start a game now your fired for warden and i do this 3 times now your banned for 1 day. What happens if the warden is laggy and it takes longer for him to start games is it his fault does he get fired because he couldnt get better pc/internet? What if a t gets out of cell through vent and opens cells before the warden can even get there. Does he get fired because the t rebelled? To many different variables to deal with for that plugin to actually be viable to be a concept of creation

Huge -1. Having a system like this would CAUSE server disruption because of a warden getting revoked mid-round. Having a bad warden every once in a while is common, but this would not only be a ton of work but it would make rounds rushed and no actual fun for whoever is warden. I don?t see this working even if it was just a rule to be enforced. One gun in stack causes a round to be delayed massively. On maps that have guns in cells would make everything rushed and would force CTs to be extremely cancer.

No, no, no. This would cause wayyyy too many problems. If all the T's rebel and the warden needs to hide/unstack them, what happens then? Do we swap/kick/ban the player for something happening that was completely out of their control? It's just stuff like that that would happen. (Also pretty much everything other people listed also applies) Huge -1.

Very good idea, however as everyone else said, there would be too many negatives. -1

There's a rule where you have to be outside of maincells by 7:00 which should be enough.

Im pretty sure that rule means literally in cells, not in maincells.
