Having recently become sorta a regular on TS3, I am disappointed at a few things that I see occur on our TS3 server- specifically, the Dedicated Supporter rooms. I feel as if that administrators self-segregate themselves into groups, and completely shut off access to them from people who need them- at times such as myself.

For example, Arbiter, Thorium, Joey, Nuke, Blazey, Xavier, Savana, Mayor, Mom, ConfissionXD, $praayZ, and Ajay all lock themselves within a channel known as "#YungSquad" from the rest of their eGO kin. Because of how unreachable they are, I feel left out and I feel that they are unavaliable despite their presence. This is a problem especially when I need one urgently due to a server situation (not to mention that MAUL chat is almost always ignored).

No matter how you view this thread, the lack of reachability is extremely irritating especially when other forms of communication are blatantly ignored.

TS3 members should be able to reach administrators easily if needed, and as a bonus will make DS Rooms more transparent.

Examples of irritating self-segregation in TS3

If you joined TS and most other rooms are empty, you're new and don't fully know what to do and you see the same admins who are on all the time but are seemingly locked in a room that is segregated off, wouldn't you be a bit frustrated?

Also, is it appropriate for admins and leadership to react this way? I don't really think so. This is not how eGO members should be acting.

Just message them and ask to join or tell them you need an admin?

React what way? Saying that you don't agree with a suggestion?

As someone who will never download TS3 because it just doesn’t make sense to switching over to Discord...

I’d agree reaching admins is pretty brutal at times. Not impossible, but sometimes the delay between sending out a “cry for help,” if you will, and an admin getting back to you is way too long.

I can think of an example right off the top of my head where we needed a ban on a player dropping the N word over and over, and an EG couldn’t ban, and it took upwards of an hour to get an EGo to issue the ban. This was during peak playing hours.

Several admins enjoy helping out, but aren’t always on. I’d agree that there’s a few who really don’t help at all on a “support” end, even if it just involves redirecting them to the proper personnel. It’s very frustrating, and a major reason why I left PG years ago.

And to build on this just a bit, any staff/admin/whtever you want to call them arguing against this post isn’t helping any solution. Arguing back against someone who might’ve just joined really isn’t a good look - it makes you seem more unapproachable

Ever think of the fact that most other gaming communities have a no-pinging policy when it comes to administrators and leadership? eGO has the distinction of not having such a policy.

But isn't it frustrating that every other method of communication is put in place to solve this issue only to be simply ignored? It's quite frustrating that new members have to resort to this to get their problems dealt with, especially when they expect at least ENOUGH staff to be interacting with the community publically to get these concerns solved more easily.

Also I thought I would explain the photo: the bad refers to the unnecessary scale of self-segregation within TS3 especially within huge roles, the good refers to the ideal model of administrators and leadership who attempt to make an effort at not only talking to people but making themselves avaliable and on-duty when needed. There's nothing wrong with just chilling out in TS3, the problem is that the last resort tends to be the only plausible resort.

Everyone has their views on what they believe should be changed; hence under Suggestions. There is no need for the hostility or toxicity that's going on in this thread, we are here to hear from one another we're not a COMMUNITY to attack people for their thoughts on the matter. There's no need to attack others for their opinions..

This thread is being closed.

Some of the replies here are pathetic and some of you should be ashamed of yourself. Unbelievable.

Maruchan your post is received and heard. We need to remember that the people in these Dedicated Supporter rooms donated to keep EdgeGamers move forward. One of the things we have chosen to reward those folks is a little section of TeamSpeak that they may play privately. I think they deserve that for their valued contribution.

With that said, everyone is able to private message or direct message anyone in TeamSpeak. If you ever have an issue with an admin (or leader) not being responsive you may discuss that with the proper individual in the chain of command.

For those of you post brigading this thread for the reasons of flaming / putting someone else down, cut it out before you get an express invitation to another community.
