Tutorial: How To Record and Post Demos

Hey Guys,

I have formulated some videos for you on how to record a demo and post it into our forums

I have created a freesite on freewebs.com it has two videos one on how to record and one on how to post the demo to forums and where to find the demo.

also there is something to change about sb_status if you do type that you must tell in the request bans if you typed sb_status

Awesome! I didn't know exactly how to record demo's before. This could definitely be useful, I don't know how many times I have been playing in servers with hackers and I couldn't do a thing about it.

Nice tutorial , I never new that before, thx! I'm just guessing the video can be reviewed later if need be because the video didn't say anything about what you do after recording it, but it helped me a lot, thx again!

Nice video on the basics. I thought this may help your admins when trying to identify hackers. It goes over the basic demo making but includes "demoui" and watching in wireframe (mat_wireframe3) which is very usefull to identify wallers.

also www.mediafire.com is very easy to use and usefull when posting demos.

p.s. some have said its hard to hear so these are the commands used
record "demoname" < no quotations
stop < stop recording
playdemo "nameofdemo" < no quotations
demoui < for pause and playback stuff
sv_cheats 1 < enable cheats i.e. wireframing
mat_wireframe 3 or 2< to "wall"

Just something that bugged me about the movie.

Sb_status DOES NOT GET YOU VAC, OR STEAM BANNED.

It only gets you banned from CSS severs with the Steambans.com Plug In on the server.

So They do not have to re-buy their Steam, The only way to get VAC banned is VAC catching you Injecting something (usually a Cheat) into the game.

And you cannot send demos to VAC, cause they just ignore it.

yah I realized that after I recorded it and listen to again but I was bored. ah well
