Hey guys, frantic.^ here.
Well, basically I have a problem with my CS:S game. The reason I am making this thread is in the hope that someone is sharing or has shared this problem and knows of a way to fix it. Okay. Here is the rundown. My game was working fine for a while and then randomly one day when I started CS:S I noticed instantly that the main background with the two guys with guns was much darker then usual...hmmm...I thought...must be some steam update and they have a new theme. Well, I joined our eGO server only to find that it took forever to go to sending client info and when I finally got in...BAMM!!!!!!! Everything was wacko!! The walls and snow were black, I was barely walking around without firing into walls thinking it was still the enemy, and I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE THINKING, must just be laggggggggggg, but Oh no, the thing was that my ping was like 50ish, pretty darn good!
Anyway, right now I am forced to play on low video settings for just about everything and I have my brightness maxed out just to compensate for the darkness. And before this whole incident my computer was rocking out with maxed out video settings easily, I have a quad 2.66GHz processor and a brand spanking new video card.(bottom line , nothing to do with my computer's quality)...but I NEED SOME HELP!!!!!!!!!!
