As of right now, it is no secret that suggestions are made at an extremely fast rate, and handled at an extremely slow rate. I believe that each division, especially counter-strike and GTA need to have their own suggestion leadership or designated implementation team.

I honestly agree that would make everything run a lot smoother and quicker.

If you mean one person responsible for deciding what suggestions go through, then thats terrible. If it's bringing it up to the other LE and keeping track of it all, then I think you could make a case for that being the job of support.
Also, pretty sure implementation team would be Tech.

I don't really think we need a suggestion manager for every division, especially since most divisions get little to no suggestions.

For some divisions it /could/ be helpful depending on what you mean.
If you got someone to put any suggestions that seem viable into a trello board or something will all of the tech team and CS leadership and they could sort through what they want to work on together, then maybe.
If it's one or two people that does every suggestion by themselves, then no. I think that all the leadership should have some sort of final say on suggestions, not just one or two.

However, again, I really don't see the need for more managers, especially ones that just handle only suggestions. It just adds leadership spots that could be handled by whomever is supposed to handle suggestions anyway. If anything should be changed, managers should have meetings once every two weeks or once every month to sort through suggestions and see what could actually be useful and should be worked on.

Technically, leadership are constantly looking at this already as a whole. They watch to see if suggestions can traction. Sometimes they are awaiting tech for some of them. They don't go unnoticed - but keep in mind theres a LOT on the forums for leadership to cover each day as well. Sometimes they need to get together as a group to work through them all.

If you see suggestions that you feel need a more rapid response, reach out to a game advisor in TS or via PM to get their attention, especially if a suggestion is of high importance or is gaining a lot of ground.

I understand where this suggestion is coming from, being a CS:GO main I know how many recruits and members there are that may receive a suggestion. However I personally believe with an increase in people reviewing suggestions, it would go without saying that people would expect more promotions, some of which may be excessive or undeserved at the time.

I don't know their system of filtering suggestions, but if it gets to a point where they can't handle the amount and believe that a new method should be created. But until then, I'd just say leave it be?

I know how these are currently handled. And no, it's not up to one person to decide on each suggestion. They should discuss it with the community within the thread, and bring the decision to Custom or Mayhem for clearance. There is already a shit load of work on both of their plates, and the 9 pages of suggestions show it. It is pretty necessary to have someone or a team designated to this. L lofi it's beyond that point. Look at the date of some of the suggestions. E EpicFlamingos While Tech handles implementations and bug fixes, you don't need tech to accept or implement basic things such as map time, etc that the manager would do.

Fair enough. If it's that drastic then they should dedicate a schedule to check it or something of that sort. Thank you for clarifying the situation.

It would make it easier to track if they had GTA or CS tags instead of the "Ideas, Server, Maps" so I know if this is my game or not.

I mean, that one can be blamed on me because I set that up :P At the time it made slightly more sense (Because before it was totally random tags). Any CM can fix it up :)

It would also help if people titled threads better.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but, I think Tech was moving to a ticket based system soon for bugs - this might also apply to suggestions and keep things more organized as well.

Yeah. Seeing buy and gang stuff = GTA for me but turns out CS has those? I am not going to lie, we have been slacking due to various reasons in GTA suggestions due to we put our post in our own forum for the reset and what not.

I got confused about that too! Lol. Yeah, I'm sure we could easily add tags for GTA and CS on here (since realistically, this section is almost 100% those two). Time to scream at your local CM (Or Adam. Preferably Adam).

I certainly hope suggestions do not become ticket based. Community input on changes, even small ones, is very important. I also enjoy going through bugs and trying to help Tech find fixes, because I cannot join Tech itself.

If I recall right, it was a github type system (or was using github itself, can't remember) which means tickets are open for comments from everyone and all.

I definitely believe community input is one of the most important parts of suggestions. If the Github method is simple and easy to use for even the least tech-savy people that sounds like a good solution. However I believe that suggestions should be public and commented on.
