Ok, lets discuss some ideas, tips, tutorials which can help us all become better gamers, especially me!

So lets start off with the basics.

Crosshair size
Crosshair colour
Aiming (head, body...long distances, spraying etc.)
Spraying whilst running
Teamwork
Different Guns....etc

Crosshair...I use the smallest.
Color = Green
Aiming...long range? Head and single shots. Close range? Aim for chest and spray, kick back/up brings the sights to the head usually and you can get a HS. If not, you did a ton of damage anyway.
Spraying while running...retarded. If you must, shoot in bursts of 3-5, depending on the weapon.
What's this teamwork? I run off by myself and get 3-4 of 'ya before someone knifes me.
M4 or famas (burst mode) ftw.

Crosshair colour: Green
Aiming: Longer distance I try an aim at the throat, or if it's shorter distance through in a spray.
Spraying whilst running: I won't do it :)
Teamwork: I never trust my teammates, however I do believe in them
Different Guns....etc

Aiming:long rang head close throat
Teamwork:always trust my team to do their job
guns: AK, M4, AWP, Deagle

Crosshair size: IDK whatever the default size is
Crosshair colour: Green
Aiming (head, body...long distances, spraying etc.): Long Range - 1-2 shot bursts aiming for head, Medium Range - 3-4 Shot bursts at chest and head, Short Range - Controlled spray and Pistol
Spraying whilst running: Dont
Teamwork: I keep an eye on the minimap for where my team is and if they are getting shot or not
Different Guns....etc: M4(Silenced), AK, MP5, Deagle, Glock on 3-shot burst for close range, USP if CT, HE Nade(Sometimes), HE/Flash with MP5, Always get body armor.

I hate long range in my ping, aim perfectly to head and still get killed by opponent xD
 
The only time you will ever run and spray is if you are using a smg or for suppressive fire. smg has pretty much no recoil so running while firing doesn't really do much. You actually tend to get more hs from running than just aiming and standing still. If you have an m4 another type of assault rifle. The only time you'll ever spray is suppressive firing. That means you don't want the enemy to come out and start firing his weapon. you'll usually do this while running away maybe either to reload or to do something else. just make sure when you reload you are doing it where the enemy won't find you easily. after you finish your spray they will just come out and and fire.
 
crosshairscale : 2400
crosshair colour: yellow (goes best with most maps)
Aiming: throat-to-nose for long range, mid range I am at head, and close at neck, if they are extremely close i aim at top of chest and let the spray carry up
Spraying whilst running: Dumb idea.
Teamwork: Crucial, always call out when you see an enemy! HAVE A PLAN!
Guns: m4,cv(ak),awp,deagle,compact,scout, add um' up and I'm home :)

Ok, this is good. I see that many people use a small crosshair and aim at the head. But.....when i aim at the head, burst a couple of shots they don't die & they quickly turn around and kill me. I use 800x600 screen resolution and my crosshair always echos, do i just need to practice more, or is there a technique which i can use to get more kills, or more damage.

Also, when they're runng sieways, do you need to follow the model or just fire into the path, this really gets me because i fire (e.g.) 10 bullets, then only 3 reg. for 56 damage.
 
Does that mean putting the crosshair over the head whilst the stand, walk, and run???

Aiming: AK SPRAY-Shoot at feet
Spraying while running: at the feet, or upper leg area.
Gun sets: M4, usp, flash(2), HeNade
AK, usp, flash(2), HeNade
Scout, deagle, flash(2), HeNade
Famas, 5-7, flash(2), HeNade
Always guy kevlar.
 
If you wanna shoot well, aim 4 the head and shoot in bursts..

Crosshair colour: Red and opaque (not the translucent option.)

Aiming: Ideally you want to aim for the head all the time, but i usually tend to aim for the head in all situations except long range. At extremely long distances, without a sniper rifle I usually am not precise and quick enough to aim directly for the one pixel on my screen that is their head, so usually I shoot for the torso in 1-2 shot bursts. In really close range I go for the head almost always because its so much easier to aim for and I can aim for it much quicker. In fact in mid range, I can pretty much aim for the head in the same time it takes to aim for the torso anyway. If it is obscenely close, like they walk within an arms length in front of me, or if they walk into my crosshairs before I have even aimed, then usually I will begin spraying because I know some will hit and then try to adjust the spray pattern up toward their head, but usually you have to develop a feel for how that specific weapon sprays or else you end up shooting over them.


Spraying whilst running: This is a definite yes. While running no matter what gun in the game you cannot be precise. There is no sharp shooting while running, it is about luck IMO, thus the more bullets you send flying their direction the higher your chances of hitting them vs. just clicking off one or two shots. The idea with running though is that if you are already running, you want to run toward them, the closer to them you get, the more effective your shots are. Usually its a good idea to strafe side to side randomly while you run toward them. Sometimes I burst a few shots until I get closer just in the name of conserving ammo if I know im far enough away that I will run out of ammo before killing them. Or even sometimes I don't shoot at all and let them waste their ammo first until I get in closer.

If they don't see me though, then I don't run toward them and shoot and alert them of my presence, in that situation running usually isn't needed and you can just crouch and pick them off more precisely.

For running the five seven, glock, usp, dualies, sig, mac10, and TMP are absolute monsters. If I was running right towards the faces of 3 people I honestly think I would have better chances of headshotting all them quickly with a mac10 or TMP than I would an AK or M4.


Teamwork: A necessity.
