Having left PD and joined the MC, I IMMEDIATELY noticed an issue with our organization. We have no blips. Something that made it super easy for PD to locate each other on the map, doesn't exist for us when traveling to locations and trying to meet up is one of our biggest things as an MC.

But now that I think of it, every organization can make use of this if they don't already have it. Mechanics, taxis, I'm pretty sure EMS already has it.

I simply suggest adding the blip system to all organizations for their own members. It would save us a LOT of trouble. As far as roleplay goes, it's not different from us all having a GPS app on our phones or having our vehicles lowjacked.

Typically gangs and criminal organization don't have fleet management systems and tracking devices on their vehicles or personnel for that matter due to the risk of the ability technological ability to be compromised.

Typically, Police Departments only have the dispatcher who can see where all officers are on the map at any point in time. So if we're going by that logic, none of the officers in PD on patrol should have blips.

We're suggesting something for gameplay convenience here.

Also, please see...

You can literally google "Do criminals use GPS tracking?" and it's actually very commonplace in today's world through many different uses whether it be their own members, product, etc.

I kinda agree with the now deleted, but quoted comment from Wo - I don't think they would need it for the same reason he stated, but I am all for trying it out to see how it goes.

I'm not sure I see the point being made by Wo here. I even linked an article that shows GPS tracking is used in the real world by criminals lol I don't see sources cited stating the opposite. I also again state, real world police officers don't have a map that shows where all officers are while on patrol, only dispatchers may have access to that given the technology is available to them. So we are already beyond real world comparison with this.

Not trying to start an argument here at all, but if people are going to use real world comparison, lets use factual information in the discussion, not just wild claims.

I?m down for letting them try it out I truthfully think all of the whitelisted jobs criminal and legal should have them if they choose it helps manage and organize people and also helps people find each other to rp easier and create little scenes together even if it?s just meeting up on bikes to chat.

+1 I agree. I mean, If this was 15 years ago, it would be unrealistic. But I mean, "Find my Friends on Facebook" "Snapchat" they all have GPS to find your dang friends. It isn't out of the realm of realism.

-edit-

can we make the blip green :D
