Just a though I have been looking at and I know not everyone will agree with it:

As it stands right now, every whitelisted civ job has its own discord, at least 4 not including any new and pending jobs that may be in the works. Jobs like the LostMC I can see having their own due to the nature of what they do, but I personally feel we could combine some, if not all the discords into one central discord to help with communication.

LSIA/Mechano/Dealership could be safely combined into one discord with room for more jobs as they come around.

Space saving and clean up

Thanks!

Well, the discords are more or less private for each organization. The teamspeak is where communication is merged as we all use the same Teamspeak server.

What would be the benefit of merging discords?

Very easy to access information in one central location, easier passing of notices for job (ie. Rule updates), even a public section for people to ask questions outside of the main eGO discord.

There could be many more benefits to come as well

I do see your points. Although like you said, organizations like the MC couldn't be a part of this because some of the discussions we have, even though they are spoke OOC, could still be read by maybe an admin in the PD and while they don't intend to metagame, some of the information we discuss, once you've seen it, you can't unsee it and will use it whether you want to or not lol It would just complicate things there. But for non criminal organizations, I do see the benefit.

Thats why there are ranks/roles in discord for that.

I did say jobs like the LostMC should stay separate, only Civ legal whitelisted should be combined

One way this could work would by using categories. You can give people admin/audit powers for specific categories, for example I gave Jolly admin perms for our Lawyer category of the Lost MC discord. That way he can make and edit any channel he want's while not having full admin perms across the discord. If this is gonna happen this would be the best looking option without making the discord feel overwhelming for those who are apart of multiple whitelisted jobs

I personally am not a fan of this being that a lot of time has been put into the respective discords making them how we wanted them layed out adding perms roles etc and to me it just seems like adding more work to "fix" something that isn't currently broken.
