TF2 Third Person

[Custom Stats]

Would like to see third person back on the TF2 servers. This was something that a lot of people on the servers used, including myself with pretty much every class. There was a suggestion where one person stated they disliked it and wanted it removed, but can assure you that a lot more people want this to be a feature on the server.

Yeah I agree with this not sure why it was even removed because personally for me I admired it quite a bit. I love using it when I’m heavy and playing sniper and I know other active players did as well. Hope this can be brought back +1

3P is how I got myself up to rank 30 when the server was already 3 years old. It was something different that you couldn't get on most other TF2 community servers

i only really like playing in 3rd person. it makes me sad that it was taken away.

At the time, all we heard were complaints about it and not many people asking to keep it. It also made it difficult to tell if some one was wall hacking. So it was removed. If enough people want it back, it can certainly be added back. We’re listening... :biggrin:

Fortnites pov
it lets you see stuff right behind you and sometimes behind walls if your close enough. Its as if the camera for your character is behind you

Valve's third-person is usually non-compromising in regards to the cmera filtering past drawn entities and walls, barring a few exceptions for prop based items (though most TF2 maps don't use prop_physics anyway).

Truthfully there's no harm in adding a thirdperson command back into a server that's not designed for competative intent in mind.
