GTA V RP - Bullet Proof Windows

I would like to see bullet proof windows as an upgradable option. Maybe make it more expensive than other things, but ultimately it would be really beneficial for a group like our security company or police/FIB vehicles.

I'd very much like to see the tactical vehicles have bullet proof glass such as the Granger (4 tactical seats outside vehicle after 4 inside are filled) and the Humvee or the police SUV's. Currently the Rumpo has this type of glass.

Most companies, including police departments, don't even use bullet-resistant glass. What they'll typically do is reinforce the doors, but leave glass alone for weight issues.

Not to mention, having bullet-proof glass would present some issues, my major one being that players, cops and civilians alike, shouldn't be fully protected like that. If you have that level of security you're bound to do reckless things because you know the consequences have been shortened, and would probably end up with low-effort RP.

Honestly I think if you make the upgrade expensive, maybe something you have to buy each time your vehicle gets impounded, it's not that big of a deal. Bullet Proof isn't 100%, you can still shoot through it with enough firepower.

Definetly make Bullet Proof glass but at a decent-hefty price but after like 6-7 bullets it shatters

In theory, if you had a vehicle with bulletproof windows, they either wouldn't roll down at all or you wouldn't want to roll them down.

OR, do you want to be able to shoot from your vehicle and not be able to be shot back? Cause that's hot garbo.

i thought your windows auto open when you shoot from them?

Most of the civilian armored vehicles, the windows don't roll down (to my knowledge). The Knight XV, The Marauder, Ect.

It should be fail RP to fire from these vehicles. You have a massive advantage over everyone else.

I would say it's fail RP. Would be even easier if bullet proof glass could force deny the player from firing in the vehicle.

If we want to refer to "The Beast"(U.S. President's transport vehicle) for example. Only the driver side window opens and that only opens MAYBE 3 inches, not enough to aim a gun productively through.

What I'm looking for is a secure transport capability. As it stands, all vehicles allow any passengers to be shot by a random guy with a pistol.

Good that the rumpo, which currently has bulletproof glass has two slide doors, making it realistic that shooters can be there (the people in the front shouldnt be able to shoot unless the glass is very broken tho)

ya u shouldn't be able to shoot out from these vehicles cuz u would need to open a window so there would be no point of having bulletproof windows if u are going to roll them down anyways.

After a meeting, we've decided to not go through with bulletproof windows. The potential for abuse is too great compared to the small list of positives it would bring.

Additionally, it would be insanely time consuming to add this option for vehicles. It just doesn't present as a high enough priority.
