I believe we need a better Voice Chat system. The current in-game GTAV voice chat is garbage and when someone is just two car distances away from you, you cant hear him them even when they're shouting. (one prime example is this clip, the officer was talking the entire time, https://www.twitch.tv/andrewwlol/clip/ExpensiveTangibleInternImGlitch ). And I believe even with the current system if you walk into range of where you should hear them, you wont hear them because you needed to be in range when they started transmitting(talking). I'm not sure what voice chat service we would go to but anything has to be better than the regular GTAV voice chat, it just ruins so many scenarios with the police trying to talk to civilians or criminals. I know a lot of other servers use TokoVoip but that'd be hard to setup but yeah we need something other than just the regular GTAV voice chat.

Toko everyone who joins would need Teamspeak, and be IN Teamspeak to even be able to talk to each other,

Currently tho there is no other voice chat system for FiveM.

The best we can do on our end is increase the distance at which you can talk to people from

I would definitely increase it. We've had a couple instances during our money truck runs where the robber attempts to yell PUT YOUR HANDS UP when holding us at gun point and the voice distance didn't reach.

Yeah increasing the range would help a TON. Cause theres just so many scenarios where you cant hear somoene right next to you and its super annoying.

I like where this is going, It does seem that in the recent updates the the Shout distance was reduced drastically.. Increasing or maybe even doubling the distances that each of the chat options reach would be a great fix.

Definitely

After a GTA LE meeting, we've decided to not go through with this. Requiring all new players to get into teamspeak would create an issue with player retention. This may be a possibility in the future, but as of right now it's not possible.

Thanks for the suggestion!
