Hey kids, it's your boy Tom, out here with a fat suggestion.

In Garry's Mod, I built this:

I have no guarantee I can replicate it, but I might as well try if the community thinks it's a good idea.

It wouldn't be a main project but something I do on the side, due to the insurmountable amount of would it would actually take.

The gist of it is, if you've played Arma 3, it's ACE3 Medical Advanced, if you haven't, it's a mildly in depth medical system that uses hit locations to determine an injury that affects your character in some way, limp if you're shot in the leg, trouble seeing if you're shot in the face, trouble aiming if you're shot in the arm .etc, you bleed, you lose blood, you die.

This would replace the health system entirely. Rather than be based on a flat integer it would be based on what body parts are damaged, for instance if you're shot in the heart you're dead. Or whether or not you've lost an amount of blood, lose too much you fall unconscious, lose even more, you die. You can bandage yourself, apply tourniquets to cut off blood flow if you don't have bandages, use splints if you can't get to the doctor easily without moving quickly.

Another feature of it is Heart Rate & Blood Pressure, these are tied to medications and your blood flow rate, ACE3 simulates a heartbeat in a player, where if you are losing blood your heart will beat slower, provided you don't have medications in you, for instance if you are in pain, and have morphine injected in you, since that is going to slow your heart and blood flow, you start losing blood pressure and heart rate.

The damage system wouldn't be limited entirely to bullets either, cars, punching, fire and such could all be used if FiveM allows, I haven't done too much research on the systems available but it has to calculate things somehow, and it'll probably be baked somewhere in the natives.

The system would open up a lot more care when it comes to fighting and rather than be a shooting gallery people would actually have to think about what they're doing, going guns-blazing isn't going to work out for you if you take a lucky round to the leg and can't escape, or a lucky round to the arm and have trouble controlling your vehicle.

I'd like your thoughts on whether or not a system like this has a place within the current server setup and whether or not you'd like to see it.

Again, this isn't an official project but it's a suggestion to see the reactions.

Tom, I think this is a big yes from me. I could see the benifits of having this.

Sounds amazing, would love to see this in the server whenever you get around to finishing it

If its possible it could open up some serious fun realism doors and larger RP potential for EMS hospitals nurses and maybe even pharmacys to treat certain injuries

It would definitely make the EMS job more interesting as well assuming this will work with EMS to where they can investigate injuries and heal accordingly, maybe some injuries need Hospital Operating Room attention to heal.

But the fact that you have to maintain your wounds in the field while attempting to keep yourself alive in a fight would be awesome.

I'll be back in 3 years when it's done CoolStoryBob

Jk this would be amazing.

As a Medic, i would love this, havin something to base a persons injuries and treatments off would be a lifesaver and make the job a lot more fun!

I love this idea! It would certainly be something that would enhance the EMS experience. My only concern on this matter would be if your character would be completely lost if shot in the head / heart. I know for a fact that some officers experience this traumatic experience almost on a daily basis. Some RP isn’t as creative as other, and they could easily ruin the experience for a hard working officer. I would suggest a harder recovery rather than lost of complete life. Unless the player decided to roleplay it that way.

I really think we could have unimaginable roleplay with this feature, I am all for it. I think that specific injuries will really make things more realistic and enjoyable.

I don't mean dead as in a Permanent Kill, more just a respawn scenario.

Though recovery times and permanent injuries such as scarring and stitches can be considered.

The idea is amazing, now if FiveM allows implementation of this is a question. If you can make it work, please do.

Certainly a great idea! You have my full support on this one. I would love to see this, as Chief of EMS, I can tell you that sometimes it’s hard to RP with a downed patient without knowing their injuries. Especially when there’s not response with the /me. This would allow us to realistically examine the patient and do proper procedures! +1

I love the idea. Other popular white-listed servers have something similar where you can investigate wounds and treat them based on that. I like the idea of people having to bandage themselves to stop bleeding from certain things and this would help the SAFR make money by selling bandages and stuff.

Big big yes from me!

This would increse the activity and possibility for role play that EMS and fire have, it would also allow some expansion into hospital life and traffic would increase in and out of pillbox!

I will help out if possible too!

Sure Tom. Boy, you sure seem like a smart guy, Mr. Tom!

I declare this a rating of +1 :)
