Right after Thanksgiving so November for me. Though for a few years we just left the tree up the entire year =)
 
Black Friday is the start of the holiday season. Start decorating then
 
November. I know Americans have Thanksgiving in November and some feel Christmas can kick off after that happens, but in Canada we have ours early October. So anytime after Halloween, go wild.
 
It's easier to leave it up throughout the whole year and say it's part of a unique design
 
My family always put our tree up a week or two after Thanksgiving and it came down the week of New year
 
My mom keeps a tree up all year round. She decorates it for the different seasons or holidays/halloween.
 
You know you are a sociopath if you put up the christmas tree in October.
 
It's a wee bit of a conditional thing for me. Used to be we'd go tree shopping/hunting the weekend after Thanksgiving and have it up fairly shortly after that. Now however since we use an artificial tree, it's whenever I get off my *** and get it from the storage unit.
 
You're a sociopath if you leave the tree up until July and then take it down in October just to make your kids put it back up in November.
