Hey all, so I currently have an LG V20 phone that I got for Christmas last year. The reason for this post is that I really dont have an issue with the hardware of this phone but rather the OS. Some of the things I have noticed is that my phone would go into this form of 'freeze' mode where when I try to get into my phone (its locked with a pw) to unlock it, the OS doesnt bring up the screen that has all the messages that I need to read (like emails, Airbnb, texts, etc), but rather it treats it like theres nothing there. I will also say that I have yet to update my phone through the whole year because im not sure if the updates will actually fix this issue or not. Before anyone asks, this screen that I refer to happens in both cool & hot conditions (of course I experienced it most in the hot Texas heat, which was to be expected but when I want to get somewhere & need to use Google maps is not the time for my phone to freeze).
Therefore, I am coming here to get some feedback on possible alternatives that people might use over Android. I am also fully aware that this is the minority of peeps since most people use either stock Android or iOS on their phones as they just go about their day. I used to own an old school OnePlus phone and really enjoyed the flexibility that the OS gave to the phone. Unfortunately it seems that Android doesn't seem to have the same form of flexibility to that platform.
Anyways, feel free to give your feedback & I look forward to what each person has to say. Do keep in mind that this isn't going to be a rush process at all. Its more of keeping my options open while I continue to enjoy the hardware of the phone itself.
