Hi guys, I won't be able to play Counter Strike for a long time, heck I won't even be on Steam. My computer (laptop) broke down. Did you guys ever get "A disc read error occurred" when you try to boot up? That's what's wrong with mine. o_o

Anyway, I'm using my Dad's CPU right now.

Try
a) ejecting any floppy disks in your laptop
b) reseating your hard drive.
c) replacing your hard drive.

I Had the EXACT same thing happen to me saturday night.

Got a new 500 gb hdd, much better then dual 122's in dual raid

trying to install windows now
 
Hey mate i got the same 2 times first it was my hard drive. I got a new one but after 3 weeks i had the problem again >,<. I didnt have time at that moment at didnt booted my pc one week. Then after one week it 100% worked again. Unbelievable but true :D
 
its the hard drive try a diff one if you need one give me your address and pay me for shipping ill send you an ide 40 or 80 gb free
