GTA V RP - Phones have merged numbers and can't be edited

Currently there is a problem that I discovered. When you add someone to the phone, if that someone happens to die off and they create a new character whom you happen to come into contact with, they can't give you their number for the new character because the phone number is shared across characters on the account. So your contact is now permanently that old dead character in the listing, however the new character will answer due to it being the same number.

This, mixed with the fact that we have no way of deleting/editing contacts, we are stuck with a phone system that will inevitably be filled with inactive/dead people.

Can we have a solution for this? lol Maybe add the ability to either edit or delete a contact, or make phone numbers separate per character.

This was tested the other day. Heidi Higgins "died" and when Olivia Higgins got on, she had the same exact number as Heidi Higgins and therefore couldn't be added as a new contact.

idk, it definitely only happens this way if a character is killed before the new one is made, because my second and third characters both have different phone numbers from my primary, even if that was the case, this would be more of a bug report than a suggestion

It's a suggestion because contact editing/deletion is not a natural feature of the current phone system.

It's not a bug. Here's the situation! When I decided to kill off Heidi Higgins, because her sister was going to be coming into the city, I didn't delete the character profile. Instead, I had leadership change Heidi's name to Olivia, and therefore I still had the money, the cars, the phone number etc as Heidi did. But now the issue is when I call people, they're like oh hi Heidi. And I'm like oh it's not Heidi it's Olivia. Now for me it's easy to rp out, but in most cases, it would be better if this could be changed.

I think a new phone would be great. A phone where you can add/delete contacts and send messages. As well as have twitter on the phone. And even potentially a phone that doesn't delete old messages. Like for example when you get a text, and you leave the city, when you come back that text is still there.

Just a few suggestions, I know that this is more of a tech team thing, and will take time to be added, but I do agree with Cryptic this would be nice to see added.

+1 I feel that the phone used now could have some fixes, perhaps even an indicator to see if that person is online in that character.
