This rule goes for everyone in the server, including PD.

I think that the rule should become, if you are carrying weapons larger than a pistol, when you get in a vehicle, they need to be physically stored in your vehicle.

For police, this means changing our procedure from rp /me unracks AR to physically entering the inventory of our vehicle and pulling the gun out.

For criminals, this means they have to do the same thing. BUT also to prevent weapons from disappearing from their vehicles when they log off, they need to take the weapons out of the vehicle and store them in their apartment. This means criminals will only be carrying large weapons on their person with the intent to commit a crime.

This also means, when a criminal is found with a large weapon on their person(Anything but a pistol) it is IN ROLEPLAY assumed to be on their person(Whether they have a bag or not, they can not claim it is in the vehicle. It is found where it is physically found. If it is found on their person and no bag is on their person, it becomes an adminable offense but doesn't break the scene, we just act like it's normal for the sake of the scene).

Large weapons physically carried on your person WITHOUT a bag should be in your hands.

The same of course goes for dirty cash and drugs.

I believe that changing/adding this rule will assist in realistic weapon retrieval AND assist with criminal-police interactive roleplay when searches are involved.

I can't think of any reason as to why this isn't currently a rule.

If they can either resolve the bug or make it so weapons have infinite ammo at all times if that solves the issue. I can't see any downside of weapons having infinite ammo. We don't use all of the ammo available as is in our weapons on a scene.

I agree that the role play needs to be more in depth when it comes to weapons. Although, it is not fail RP to get in your vehicle, use /me (/me puts shotgun on passenger seat) and then do the same thing, (/me takes shotgun from passenger seat) when exiting. Making where players HAVE to use their trunk for their heavy weapon does not exactly work, because one can easily argue that in real life, you could easily put your shotgun in the back seat, under a blanket, on the passenger seat, etc. I agree that its fail RP to just step out and gun down the police, but in my opinion, this is not the ideal solution.

It shouldn't be considered that a criminal is going to be committing a "crime" when they carry a heavy weapon in their car. What if I am going hunting? What if my friend Joel wants to see my new vintage shotgun I bought at my local Ammu-Nation, with my legal weapon registration and license, but he lives across town, and does not own a vehicle himself? Carrying a weapon does not mean your about to commit a crime.

I do agree that if a weapon is found on a player, it should not be argued that it is "in their vehicle" if they want to say that, they can properly put it in their trunk. Otherwise, its on them. Tho, I do not agree that carrying a large weapon means the criminal intends to commit a crime, or that they should not be allowed to have it hidden under the blanket in the back when they are being hunted by the Mafia and need some protection.

For the police, it is very realistic for them to rack their shotgun to the weapon cage found in the front of the patrol car, between the two seats. Most law enforcement agencies have that, and they do not require their officers to walk to the back of their vehicle, open the trunk, unlock a case, take their weapon, all while 5 gang members are shooting his way from their cover. I do not see it being unrealistic to sit in your car, do /me unlocks cage, and unracks shotgun, and then exiting my vehicle, ready to defend myself and the others around me.

I strongly agree that if an item is found on you, it should be role played as if it is on you. Not in your car. Thank you for reading my comment! Have a wonderful evening. :)
