Re-Joining Because Of Score...

I dont get it, why do people do this? I see it all the time, even some eGO members, they have a bad score of lets say, 2-9, and the re join JUST to make their score stay positive, I don't get it. I never care about my score, and I know tons of times when it sinked down to 0-9 and I still kept playing, it was fun.

Are people that obsessed with their score?
Oh well, guess I will never understand it.

I re-join a lot but it is for a lot of reasons and NOT becuz of my score. My score always sucks .

1. I think I hear my parents coming and I am not allowed to be on the pc at all during week days and weekend daylight hours

2. I am changing my buy menu quick commande by using the create server (16,000 starting money)

3. I get off to check meh plinks or the forums or newegg.

yeah i never get off because of score.. if i get off the server it's for a reason usually because i'm hungry and i go make myself a peanut butter and honey sandwich.. >=D

I may have connected/reconnected in a short time span before but its because of me trying to get a script/bind working right or my mic/sound isn't working because I turned it off and forgot.

Im already at a horrible kdr I could care less what the current info is.

I change my sound setting sometimes but honestly re-joining the game wouldn't help my score

I guess they haven't realized that rejoining isn't benefiting them at all. I mean, seriously, disconnecting and rejoining may reset your score on the tab screen, but the bad score you had is still being recorded. In other words, I think people do it just to look better. It's a strange thing, I don't know why people do it. I just accept my horrible score, or ignore it and hope it goes away =P

Ok...I am one of the guilty ones. I constantly leave and come back on bad days. However, this isn't so much about my score as it is my skill. I have found that I play better when I restart...(its like getting a clean slate, or when a new semester in school starts...you just feel more motivated to play better). I don't think anyone out there is self-centered enough to leave so people won't see their bad score, THATS RIDICULOUS! So, for people who don't understand why I and many others have been doing it, thats it. Of course, there are countless other reasons, but that is the main reason why people do it more than once in game. Also, I try not to do it because I have heard many people express themselves on this issue and I realize what it can cause, so I try to limit myself.

I don't know if you were adressing it in general or if you were addressing me. Sorry for not clearing that up...I KNOW IT STILL COUNTS ON FBG/HLX, however when my mind sees the new score I still feel like I am "getting a clean slate, or when a new semester in school starts...you just feel more motivated to play better"

I have many reasons i spontaniously disconnect but they are not by any means to fix my score it is for the following reasons: And Remember If I am really leaving I will always say bye

1. Just like Blinds i cant play during the weekdays and if i am on my parents arent home so when they come in i d/c with out saying goodbye
2. I have a bad graphics card and monitor that dont agree with eachother and my graphics card shutsdown
3. CSS and my Internet dont agree with each other giving me 2000 latency when trying to join a server

And most importantly
4. I suck at CSS so i almost always have a negative KDR

Ill confess why hide it eh? Im a perfectionist, ive only been back at the game for a few days and i already want to be the best at it again. Ill leave sometimes cause i get off to a bad start like 2-5 or somethin like that becaue even though i know its recorded, what i see when i press tab at the moment is a bad score and i know im better than that and capable of ownage, so me rejoinin the server is a way of sayin to myself hey man dont worry about it, fresh start, u know what u can do so lets do it. Its more of a motivation thing than lookin better, like we said its recorded....

when i D/C it cuz theres this stupid nortons security scan thing that pops up every once in a while, im gonna go uninstall it, its always makes me mad

If I see someone disconnecting and rejoining because of score, I will ban for a day. This is totaly unnessary and pointless.

You disconnect then reconnect because of your score I WILL ban you for a day.

I am tired of rank mongers..

I think, someones re-join cause FBG's (for example) !up Pink Panther , works again, when you re-join... that is just my answer, I re-join when I have limit... Dunno why somebodys do that, but I think they got the same 'problem'
