Are there any albums or songs that you hold in significance in your life?

Maybe an album that helped you through a tough time of just a classic that you can stop going back to.

Though a MAJOR classic rock fan, I listen to rap while doing my workouts. If you are going through a rough time in your life and need relatability, the rapper NF has a some AWESOME songs that will get you amped up on becoming a better individual. My favourite albums in order:
"Therapy Session" - Helped me through a time dealing with depression.
"Perception" - Helped me deal with anxiety
"Mansion" - The first album I heard from him and when I became a fan, helped me deal with my inner issues.

His latest album has some great songs such as "The Search" and "When I grow up" but I'd need to feel it out before adding it to the list.

I guess I could make a short "Albums I really freaking love" list...

Mac Miller's "K.I.D.S" was an album I continually listened to through high school and still do to this day. It was relaxing, it was fun, and it presented a very simple view of life that could make you throw out all the extra hassles and appreciate the good things for a few minutes. Many, many long nights happened where these songs helped me keep being happy, or helped me be a little happier when I was down.

Bon Iver's self titled album is quite good. It has a LOT of great subtle bits to each track that make them complex, yet so simple to trigger emotions through you. It looks back at memories while pulling you right to the present in it's storytelling. For myself it was an album I listened to many times while thinking of the past, but trying to see where I wanted to go forward. So it hits a little extra for me.

M83's Saturdays=Youth was something I come back to a lot as well - I enjoyed it the most at a certain point in high school that it could do two things - make me think a lot deeper, or give me some hope. It has a very wide range of tracks and sounds to it, from more ambient ones to fantastic favourites like "Kim & Jessie" that can spark thoughts of adventure or romance. It's a cool journey through.

Anyways, enjoy my rambling and maybe some different music :)

Music has been a big part of my life since i started to really get into it in highschool. The band that did that for me was The Clash, i love basically every clash album but my favorites are “Give em enough rope” and “London Calling”. After that i got really into Pink Floyd and spent a summer listening to “The Wall”. After that I listened to anything i could get my hands on, my dad has a really huge music collection of well over 700 CD’s, and we put all of them onto our ipods to listen too. In highschool I averaged around 30 hours of music a week.My favorite albums would have to be; “..And out comes the wolves” by Rancid, “Ok Computer” by Radiohead, “Songs for the deaf” by Queens of the Stone Age, “Everyone who pretended to like me is gone” by The
Walkmen, and “Tim” by The Replacements.

For me I would say illmatic by Nas as the songs on the album are very narrative and showcases Nas's life growing up in Queensbridge.

Some of my standout tracks but the listening to the whole project is a must
