Yes. U.S army national Guard.not the best place but hey, i was in highschool lmao. Was 19-K which basically meant i was the guy who drove, shot, and operated those bad A M1 Abrams tanks.
Kinda miss it tbh.
 
I wanted to, but I'm medically ineligible.

For those in the know....I had a friend tell me I was 4F :P

14 years in the Army, Rangers, Combat Engineer. Proud to have served and regret nothing about it.

I wanted to but they deemed my conditions an instant disqualification. It was a sad time and still is.

applied to the naval academy, got rejected, always was in the back of my mind. May enlist someday
 
Was very close to joining years ago. But my ex talked me out of it the day before I was going to sign up. Respect to anyone who serves.
 
Served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 8 years. Best years of my life, put me one step ahead of the average civilian and helped me build up life skills and personality traits I would have otherwise never acquired.

Oh and yes, we do salute a picture of the Queen.
 
Not of legal age and not in a war; If we declare war on a sovereign nation when i'm of age then i'll probably enlist.
 
Currently in the US Air Force, stationed in Nellis AFB, NV. I have been in the Air Force for over six years now and plan on doing 20 years.

I think military service is an honorable thing to do. I wouldn't choose it in a volunteer aspect because I'd rather do civilian work. It has it's place and should have the respect that that service entails. :-) Thanks for serving. We'll do our best in the civilian sector to look after those around us and do what we can to help while those in the military hold to their respective duties. May your leaders serve you well.
 
I applied to the CAF years back. Went through an intensive application process that took almost a year. Multiple interviews. Aptitude tests. Medicals, etc.

I eventually got accepted on to start training as a Vehicle Technician. All I had to do was wait for the formal letter of acceptance.

However, when the letter finally came in, it seems there was one line in my medical file from my doctor that changed their mind and they requested that I see a doctor to be evaluated.

So I spoke to my doctor about the whole thing and after a good 15 minute chat, he wrote a letter of recommendation to the CAF stating that "that one line" was specific case that happened when I was a teenager and that I was good now.

Couple weeks went by and I got another letter that basically thanked me for my continued interest but that I needed to actually speak to the psychiatrist who put that one line into my file and have HER specifically say that I was good now.

After that - I was done. I wasn't jumping through hoops and over hurdles for an organization that cares so damn much about something so small.
