Even if I had the strength of character to be in the army - which I don't - I'm medically ineligible. I have great respect for everyone who serves in the military, as nearly all of them are better people than I. Thank you.
I'm finishing up at MEPS right now, I have to wait to get my physical but I need surgery on my shoulder, but after those 6 months of recovery I'll be heading out for basic if the worlds greatest AirForce.
Huge respect for anyone in the military, I've always admired a man or woman who fights for their country. I did consider joining a few years ago as a medic in the British Army, instead I joined my local hospital as a practitioner and am looking at career progression within the hospital. I love helping the sick and needy, medical service runs in my family.
Still, never say never! I'm still young enough to consider my options.
I have the Air Force Academy in my mind for applying to college since I want to go into aerospace engineering, but I don't know if I have the guts in me to do it. I mean I have years until then so, we'll see what happens
