Getting Into Paintball, Help Needed.

It's been a while since I've played, but here's my .02:

Forget the scope
Spend 60-80 on a decent mask
Grab a cheap hopper (like 10 bucks)
You can prolly find a 12oz co2 for 10-15

spend the rest on air and paint and play.

You can worry about upgrading to compressed air, agitated hoppers, and whatnot later. I learned my lesson a long time ago that expensive equipment is no fun if you can't afford the paint to play with.

Thanks irish, I'll do that then, Maybe I can red-neckize my paintball by taping some binoculars to it, after drawing crosshairs on the lens of course.
Hoppers don't cost much anyways.
My paintball field near my house uses compressed air, so I'll use that instead.
What about paintballs, what paintballs should I get?

does your field have field paint? if so, you'll have to use that. otherwise I really couldn't tell you what's good out there anymore.

Yeah, our field has a shop, we also get free CO2 fills, but we can bring in our own Paintballs. . PM'd.

I played lots of ball V didnt know you were getting into it. I used to be sponsored aswell EVIL FTW

My setup was a SP shocker, freak barrel kit. Halo B, 45/68 tank pretty sweet...all evil gear profiler googles...

It really depends on wats your going to be playing speedball or bushball

speedball cheap but good guns would be shockers, ions, minis
bushball guns you would prolly wanna go with the tippman 98s or a5s.. they can start to get pricey with all the add-ons but they do look pretty sweet.

I play woodsball mostly dutch, we have 5 fields

EDIT

How about this deal?
Seems great to me.

For just starting out playing Bushball thats a not a bad deal

20oz go for 20 now i think last time i saw at academy
dont get a scope scopes are useless the balls wont even go that way most the time
if ur really gonna get a5 get the flatline barrel for sure
but id prefer the custom 98 cause u get more customization and its smaller and lighter besides the missing nado feed hopper
and the flatline for 98 looks way more bad ass than a5 flatline

Flatlines= The suck when it comes to barrels. The only good thing they are good for is a heavy gunner type of person to use suppersive fire because they got range, loud as hell, and no accurarcy.

no....
flatline has the best accuracy and best range
the more range the more accuracy
and flatline has the ball spin effect which makes it go straight so yea =\
and loud is bad ass cause u scare the crap out of people xD

flatlines are ok...but with all my experience, they like to bust balls often if you try to customise your range or psi, like you have to have it set just right...but i suggest looking into canadian paintballs, they seem to have the best paint in general. i used balls caled Zap, shells are thick enough they wont bust with high psi, but soft enough to break on clothing...so

Very untrue, I could buy a barrel that is 20' long and is not accurate at ALL.

I checked up on the flatline, and people were right, it might shoot far, but it does not break balls.

i say go to a pro paintball shop and ask the sales clerk

they must know alot about paintball that can help u out.

I worked at a pro shop at a paintball field. I always tried to get them to buy more expensive guns :) not always a good idea to go to a pro shop......

Dutch, I see a lot of videos of people shooting the A5 like crazy, do I need a reponse trigger or what to do that?
