Does Steam work in Linux? My friends talking to me about switching over.

Find out what version of linux your going to be running (Ubuntu, Suse, Gentoo, fedora, redhat, blah blah blah) then go to their suport forum, they all have one as far as I know, andI'm sure you can get an answer super fast there.... that's what linux is all about the community runs it...

Technically, yes. I've ran it on Ububtu, but it is REALLY buggy. It's hit or miss with WINE. WINE is essentially a windows emulater. Some games run fine, some work...but with stuff missing (read: sound, graphics, models).

i would say if he is going to run linux tell him to run windows in a virtual server and play like that
