This past update has allowed not to repair your vehicle unless a mechanic repairs it or if you use a repair kit. I think it would be better for a specific place to buy repair kits instead of buying them from a mechanic. What if there is not mechanic online? If there in no mechanic online and you have no repair kits how are you going to fix your car or get repair kits. The specific place is the mechanic shop located on the map in which you would be able to buy repair kits. And, the $4000 repair kit per is a little to pricey. No one would want to sped 4000 dollars on a repair kit for their car. A regular paycheck is 500 dollars so it takes 8 paychecks to pay that repair kit. I think these changes could be the best for the Edgegamers GTA server. -PositiveSoleMan (Will Smith)

Do you think something similar to how hospitals currently work would work for repair kits? You go to a circle to buy a repair kit, and if there are no mechanics it lets you purchase one at an increased cost compared to what a mechanic would sell to you (lets just say $2500 or so instead of $1,000), and if there are mechanics it alerts the mechanics instead that you're in need of mechanical assistance.

Repair kits have been this price for MONTHS. I see no issue with the price for 3 reasons.

Reason #1: If you're not driving like a maniac it's HIGHLY unlikely you need more than 5 repair kits in 1 day. Repair kit's should be used only when mechanics are not available. They are expensive for a reason, they bring zero RP to the server instantly repairs your car back to 100% condition.

Reason #2:

Yeah, when you total a vehicle it's not cheap either. Plus you have lot's of sports/high end cars and so does 95% of the people complaining about the price.

Reason #3:
If a mechanic is available (which we tend to be) you should call us. We tend to give either really small or no fee at all for calling and RP'ing with us. Our roster doesn't have a lot of people right now because for as long as we can remember we would get maybe 10-15 calls on a good day. Now we get about 5 calls an hour. That is a steep increase and something we need to work to counteract by recruiting more people, so please bear with us.

I would be a lot more enthusiastic about reducing the price of the Repair kits as long as a system could be added where they won't work if a mechanic is available.

Looks like this is complete. They are working on their pricing.
