Dedicated Supporters and their Voteban/Votekick abilities in CSS.

Well now that it looks like it has been resolved , Alex....for the recap. it does now seem you either were blowing smoke up all our asses, or you just didn't know what you were talking about... 3 months ..I guess better late than never...I would say Thank you, but I think an apology from some of you would be more appropriate here for the misleading and lazy behavior...

We have fixed the problem with the votekick and voteban commands. I understand that as an =(e)= you have to have certain commands when there are no eGs or eGOs around and those commands didn't work because of a glitch. I would like to thank K KABOOK for bringing up this issue tonight and upon talking to leadership, that was their first priority and they have fixed it.

You don't have to do sm_votekick you can just do !votekick [Player] [Reason] and the same way with !voteban

Are you getting an error when you try it?

You don't have to do sm_votekick you can just do !votekick [Player] [Reason] and the same way with !voteban

I always suggest admins, and anyone really, when using these types of comamnds do it in the console, for a multitude of reasons. Its cleaner, avoids you being targetted, and if you make a mistake the whole server doesn't see it.

For this specific name here, you might have issues when attempting to target it. I would avoid using anything like an apostrophe if it's in their name. You can type status in console and once you see their name it will look something like this: "# 188 12 N's Xɪғᴏɴ웃". For this, you could do sm_votekick #188 Hacking or something like sm_votekick ғᴏɴ Hacking.

Myself and another DS tried to both use the sm_voteban through console on this specific player. We both received errors. I didn't write down the console response, but it was something of the tune to: "one or more names match client" or "No client found" etc. After 15 minutes and spectating the player and recording multiple demos, I decided to just post the info with a ban request and get back to gaming. Thank you folks for your response. I will give the other options a shot when this happens again. Thanks

WiredWrong what you can do when this happens is in console do either status or sm_players, this will bring up the list of connected players and dependant on which command you use a 3-4 digit number. For example, it will look like this for status (=(eGO)= Twist 32 # 3483) you want to get that # without the space and 4 digit number and use that for when you do sm_votekick/sm_voteban, so based on that example it would look like this, (sm_votekick #3483 hacking)
