Okay... so i was watching some CSS videos on youtube and noticed that one video had the weapons "sound" changed so i did some surfing of my own and in a matter of seconds found one that had the sounds of real guns so i downloaded it and extracted like i was supposed to and got it on... It was working perfectly until i relized some stuff, if you are a advanced player like Kolak or Klondike (My self even... Okay/ Medeoker at best) this throws off several things...

1) The 3D sound was thrown off so it was hard to know where stuff was

2) Sound in CSS is a BIG DEAL you can know where a T is if you hear Ak47 shots (EXP: if a CT has it)

3) Most of the guns sounded the same and nades sounded diff and if you have played for over 2 hours you get a custom to the sound and can know when a nade is thrown and diff guns being used

so if you decide to look at these packs and install them
DON'T ha ha they made me horiable (Compared to my sucky self) and it affects the game all together
And if you DO decide to make this stupid decision... be smart and BACK UP YOUR cstrike File because i had to uninstall and re install CSS wasting vauable game time on
the best server ever =eGO= 24/7 de_dust 2 map ha ha

I have my bomb plant sound modded but other than that nothing. The normal sounds are easy to differentiate between guns, and not only are firing noises big but glass breaking and walking are big sounds to listen for. Why you had to back up anything unless you modded your sounds previously is beyond me , it impossible to edit the default sounds but if you place new sounds where they are supposed to go the game will use those instead.

Doesn't matter , I play on zBlock servers as well as eGO servers, so I wont mod anything .

Funny thing is, you didn't have to re download/install that game at all. all you had to do was delete the sounds folder in EX: "C:\program files\steam\steamaps\your account name\coutner strike source\cstrike" and when you launch the game, it would make a new sounds folder for you again. All skins and new sounds do it mask the other ones, it doesn't actually REPLACE them, all that stuff is stored in the steamaps files witch would be very hard to actually replace them. So like I said, if you install bad skins/sounds, just delete the materials, models, scripts, and sound folder from the cstrike folder and youll be good, it wont mess up your game at all, believe me, I skinned stuff like crazy a while back.

i used to use skins and modded sounds and all this weird crap, its more trouble than its worth, half of the time they dont work, or sound/look bad. Second u cant get in zblock servers. So i dotn bother anymore
