League of Legends on console/mobile

I saw on my LoL update today

I googled it and it looks like Riot is going to be bringing LoL to the console and mobile platforms as LoL:WildRift
From what I read, there isn't going to be crossplay so I'm wondering why this update said that.
In the Google Play store you can pre-register for LoL: Wildrift but there's no release date outside of 2020. I also read which consoles will be included hasn't been released yet.

What do you think about LoL on console/mobile? Will you play it?

I will try it. Because I know that League of Legends is not the first MOBA for mobile or consoles. Arena of Valor and Vainglory are already both popular takes on the formula on iOS and Android.
