On TTT its known fact that solo admin is going to be frustrated or quit. I think It would be smart to have admins figure out who would be able to play everyone and cover most hours of the day. When admins buddy cant make it there could be a reserve of a few admins and they could ask them to sub.
Not a professional, just an idea...

-1 as TTT does experience a lack of admins, having the admins be required to play for an amount of time everyday/week would lead to unhappy admins, if you want to contact or need an admin while on TTT, you can put an "&" infront of your message to contact all admins that are playing on EGO CS:GO servers.

no

we dont admin as a job we like playing on the servers when we want and when we can while also trying to keep the servers eGO friendly. shouldnt be a chore and something we dread,,

I love admining along the toxic players fuel my desire to rid the scourge from this community

i aint gone lie, it is pretty difficult to admin TTT alone on a full server xd
but!
You can't force admins to play, we aren't obligated to play TTT. We aren't scheduled on days or aything. We are just like other players, we play when we want too.

As my experience in my time throughout PG and into EGO now, requiring admins to play a certain amount of hours per week leads to the admin not wanting to play even more. As for covering certain hours, also not a great idea because it forces admins to commit to something when they have lives outside of EGO as well.

-1. I mean I want more admins of course. But you have to understand nobody want's to admin on TTT. There use to be so many admins, which was nice. However they either switched servers or games.

-1 i gotta agree with everyone here, TTT is difficult to admin especially when you're the only admin on and you're getting bombarded with 15 singular rdm claims while you're dealing with something more major, to also quote heidi heidi you cant force them to cover certain hours of the day, some are still in school doing online courses stressing out etc etc some work and some just spend more time with family, its something that cant be really enforced

See the issue here is, that admins are not a payed position. We do it because we want to better the community, there will never be enough of this because being an admin is not a job, we want to have fun just like everyone on the server.

That reminds me of joining TTT yesterday on a full server, and people were trying to get DS players banned because they were trying to help clean the servers from actual RDMers. Then I hop in (I was the only admin), and by my login, when people realized I was on, I recieved 9 (!) reports on the first round, and whilst trying to solve them all, I got told that we (admins) are doing a shit job, just because their reports weren't dealt on a spot. Not to mention that kicking the guys being reported rised a chaos of people saying it's abuse.

It's not about having admins play X hours a day, as they are not paid to do that. We could use some more new admins (people sometimes move on to other eGO supported games/eGO servers or move on with their life, hence why they dont play TTT anymore), even though there are timezones where there is a pretty big amount of admins on (5+), but the main problem most of the times a solo admin quits is the community itself playing at that present point (Obviously not everyone, but I hope you get the point). Whenever there is a solo admin on, and there's 20-30 people talking altogether, whereas amongst them there are these 5-6 people who intentionally try to produce drama issues to mess up the servers (which leads to MULTIPLE complaints on admin chat), while the admin tries to maintain a stability on the servers being playable but also dealing with reports, and also trying to play the game themselves, then they eventually get fed up because no matter how hard they try, it might not be enough (cause they end up having to deal with tons of reports, and limiting themselves to 0 gametime like I always do when Im alone admining).

I think the problem is that when the admin finally gets on, there wasn't an admin on for sometimes 1-4 hours. That means within that time admins aren't on, there's a bunch of rdmers. So, the rdmders stay and once the admins are on they get swarmed with reports because those rdmders haven't been dealt with for 1-4 hours. Even if the VIP's try to do something, buy reporting them on the forums, that takes forever and up to 24 hours. If they try to temp ban, it's only for 30 minutes. It isn't that long, they can easily come back. Either 30 minutes later or on an alt.

First piece of advice I can give you: add admins that you normally play with to your friends list. Message them if there is an issue on the server. And remember: just because the admin is away or not in a game doesn't mean they aren't there!

Second piece: make ban requests! Get in the habit of saving logs to Notepad++ as well as making use of the condump command in console.

I say let admins have their own fun time to play on TTT. Having them play a certain amount of hours is not good.

Now would be a great time to implement Idol’s core philosophy that everyone should be banned. In fact, we should use the script where when people join, they get banned.

Sounds like the easiest and most comprehensive coverage for the server possible.

Simon Simon and Idol should be designated to stay active on TTT 24/7
