How To play FiveM With GTA 5 from the Epic Games Store

Epic Games is having a sale currently on Gta 5 costing $0.00 or Free until May 21st 2020 8am Pst. If you ever wanted to play/try out the FiveM Server, but didnt want to spend the money to buy Gta 5, Well ill show you how you can for free. Note: I dont take credit for finding this out, but shoutout to Matrix Moyye for telling us and anyone else who's been doing this.


Step 1 Sign up for epic games View attachment 23003
Step 2 Hover over to the store and find Gta 5 View attachment 23004
Step 3 After its installed go to steam then hit games in the top left and then hit add non steam game View attachment 23005
Step 4 Select Gta 5 that you recently installed and select Add Selected Programs View attachment 23006
Step 5 I don't know if its needed, but exit out of steam and restart it, then simply install FiveM and enjoy your role play experience.

I thought I would clarify this guide from Step 3 onward just to make it a little more clear. Apparently you don't need to add it as a non-steam game or at least that was my case, very helpful nonetheless thank you:

STEP 3: Claim and install the game

STEP 4: Launch the game. The prerequisites will begin to install as well.

STEP 5: Allow the Rockstar Games Launcher to install. Make sure BOTH Steam and the Epic Games Launcher are running.

STEP 6: Sign in or create a Rockstar Social Club account when the Rockstar Launcher automatically launches. You will need this later as FiveM requires it for anti-piracy measures.

OPTIONAL: Run the game once and configure your game settings.

STEP 7: Download FiveM from https://fivem.net/ and run FiveM.exe.

STEP 8: Sign in with your Social Club account.

STEP 9: FiveM should automatically launch. Your Steam account should be linked if you have it running in the background without the need to add it to your library (or at least it happened for me). If not, try adding the game to Steam as a non-steam title using the method Martin described above.

It is important that Steam is connected because GTA Tech and the young squad behind it have devised a clever anti-raid strategy: RESTRICTING THE GAME TO STEAM. Big brain. As long as your Steam is linked, you should have no problem joining our FiveM server EVEN IF YOU DO NOT OWN THE GAME ON STEAM.

We are not concerned. We have a system set up to prevent mass amounts of new accounts coming in. It's all good.

Remember, we newbies are totally welcome to join in on the fun, right? Simply search up EdgeGamers in the server browser to find our server, and you should be able to join with the steps above! If you get the "Steam is required for this server" error, simply close everything, launch Steam, and relaunch everything! Thank you Luffy

By the way, have you already heard about the news that Rockstar Studio plans to close GTA Online for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on December 16, 2021? Is it possible to install the FiveM modification on the console and continue playing online on unofficial servers? If such a thing is really possible, can you explain in more detail how to install such a modification on playstation 3? Up to this point I've only played through ps3 and https://gta5mobi.net/, so the news about the closure of gta online really upset me.

FiveM is a PC game, unfortunately.

You're right, you don't need to add Townscaper as a non-Steam game. You can simply launch the game from your desktop or from the EGO library.
