well when ever the {} are used before and after a players name the game doesnt seem to register the player and they cant show up as the kill.

like here i tried iding {mike pants} body but instead this shows up [TTT] =(eGO)= Chaonyx has found the body of . They were an INNOCENT!. this helps player evade the dna scanner as it says unknown attacker instead of their name

What should be happening instead?

It should say they killed the player or

Just change your name and put {} before and after it like {chaonyx}

Surprised no one has replied to this yet. Hope this gets fixed because it has happened to me and it's real annoying

From what I know, they need to be told to change their name.

Because names are mostly connected with the websites, special characters like these are prohibited. The system automatically removes the characters and everything on that block. This is is to prevent code injections and such.

There may be a way to allow this to happen, but imagine checking every single name first for these characters and allowing them one by one. Yes it will definitely lag the system. It's best to just tell the player to change their name.

Can confirm this within in the latest private version. I currently work on a fix (today/tomorrow). :thumbup:

So basically it does that because the {} color your name so if I was {Blue} Mail my name would show up blue, and the blue wouldn't be shown, so, in this case, because the name is inside the {} then it turns the period at the end of name white.
Or at least I think that is how it works
