100% ECs should be able to use the events channel. I dont see why not, unless the roles are hard to manage on discord

The roles on discord are terrible to configure, but it shouldn't be too difficult to allow them to type in there and ping the community event notif role. +1

As much as this seems like a great idea, I have 2 issues with this.

1) The use of it is extremely minimal and can be abused. I know some of you will add "Well we are ECs and know better!" Unfortunately I've met you and I'd rather not.

2) "Bothering" a manager to do this is not really a bother. They are there to assist members with anything, I'm sure they could take a minute out of their busy days to make an announcement. If they can't, then maybe another discussion needs to be had (Uh oh spaghettio).

Great thought, but I'm gonna let this one be laid to rest. If you feel more passionate about this, feel free to make a CL and thoroughly state your case. Cheers
