Around $850. But the whole set up was around $1.5k
 
I could of done it less then 1200 but I was too scared to mess it up xD.
 
1200 for everything but I reused a decent amount of parts from my $650 build
 
I think my current build is at like $700 Retail, once I get my upgrades it'll be over 1k
 
I built my pc for $550 CAD or equivalent to $400 USD

My coat me 800 monitors and keyboard mouse pad and mouse costed me around 600-700$, planning to build a pc this summer which will cost me just 1700-2k ish

About 5.5k euros at the time I bought mine. It was custom built and it did use the latest possible options! (Price is only for the rig, and no peripherals around it)

Notes:
- The CPU and Mobo came from ebay as a combo and already de-lidded @ $405

- Audio options...my gaming chair has speakers and a rumble feature so I use that, there's also a Razer Kraken Forged headphone that I can use when I don't want stuff being loud.
-that mini audio system is from the early 2000s, it still works great!

- TV is connected via a 25FT HDMI for like retro emulated games or games that are more controller friendly.

- new laptop was actually supposed to have a 256gb ssd along with the 1tb hdd but the ebay seller made a mistake, he did offer to refund me $50 so not a bad experience at all

-old laptop had an i7-6700HQ and GTX 960m, I saw a review on Linus Tech Tips and went for it.

-also thanks to _Ace for helping me with my 2nd HDMI 4way switch

Retail: Around $700

In reality, around $150. I got the CPU, Ram, GPU, and PSU for free (as gifts or hand me downs from other people in the house), and paid for my case and motherboard, ~$75 each give or take.

I finished my build in (2016) - came out to around 1600 CDN. Time to start upgrading soon

I've seen some people including peripherals. That's cool and all, but if we're talking purely PC cost, mine's around $1,300. If I include peripherals, I'm over 2k easy. And no. I'm not listing everything that's in my PC or my gear. If you wanna know that bad, come talk to me about it.

I will add that I want to replace my CPU with a newer one. I got a Ryzen 5 1600X right now and I wanna put something newer in there.
