God i still remember when we first move to the edge-gamers.com domain from the edgegamers.org domain many years ago now... I rather do like that eGO moved to a more modern forums software and with better security... vbulletin was good but the software that the site was running was so old too which can't be a good thing for security... anyway i like the change of the software and domain nevertheless

It looks nicee and clean! Especially on mobile, definitely more modern. I'd give it time for those that are meh about it, somehow I feel like PG had xenforo? I could be wrong. I definitely like this though and excited to see what comes ahead.

I made the suggestion a year or so back to do just this. I think it's long overdue, and with the previous... Shall we call them difficulties... regarding maintenance of vBulletin, this was the right choice.

For a community whose focus is forums-heavy, there isn't a whole lot of reason why this doesn't make sense. Not only can we make great changes with the newer platform, but we can also move things into a more connected era. It's no secret that MAUL3 has been in the works for a long while, this new system should provide a much better link between this and more.

My only gripe is that it feels like it is really a giant Test in Production. The site is new, and very vanilla so far (like it was installed and set up <month ago, and they imported what they could. Don't confuse me. I am not taking stabs at Tech, anyone, or anything; I just would've liked to see things closer to form on launch.

In any case time will tell on how this new system functions and looks. I cannot wait to see how they mold Xenforo to their needs. (DARK THEME PRETTY PLEASE WITH SPRINKLES AND LOVE)

I wish they launched this site and made it look so great with all of the other responsibilities they have. It's so inconsiderate they give me a new platform with a lot of opportunity but don't take the time to make it look good.

I can't believe no one is really commenting on the actual domain... screw the forums..( I still love them because VB4 is old.. dated, and well VB5 sucks a fat one... which left us with no choice to move to xen).

edgegamers.com - I wish you guys could understand the struggle its been to actually get this domain.

You guys are apart of ego history, don't let the unfinished product ruin your experience. We have a lot in store moving forward, we just need the time.

I like some of the differences compared to the old vbulletin version, but I believe once the theming is done and all, we will see a much better version of the forums. So its only about time honestly

Ill admit the old website was a little retro but i dont like the rushed feel this new one has... and it says my connection is not secure!1!!!

It's still being worked on. It's a pretty hefty thing to move to an entirely new software. It'll be a bit before it's back to normal.

No idea why your connection isn't secure because mine is.

Awards and achievements were a plugin we originally had for vbulletin 3 that they had to hack together to work for 4 if I recall... probably be a bit to get it going again. We had to wait around a month or so to get it working from VB 3 to 4.

Patience friends... It's only been a few days! A lot of our stuff was custom plugins that will take a little to get off the ground here.

It is too early to judge, the forums aren't completely setup and a lot of the things we had on Vbulletin just aren't here. This being said

I personally liked the old forum's style, it distinguished it from other forums I used and was unique. These are more modern, for sure, and will give the entire organization a more modern look too. But I just liked the old style more, doesn't mean these forums are bad though, it's way quicker to navigate than before, its just in the barebones stage, that's all. And like Artimus and Major Trubble said, thank's to Tech and everyone else who is involved with this. It's one thing to make a new forum with a new engine, but mad props for transferring everything over too.
