Slay before the round instead of kick in TTT

Kaarma Kaarma , I agree if there is an eGO admin on. I have played TTT and Jailbreak and unfortunately, after a warn, my only option is to kick them and they just return right back.
Leadership,
Sometimes players are so into the game that they don't really see the admin chat or as in CSGO, there is so much chat that even I have a hard time keeping up with who is doing what....thus a warning, then a slay is more appropriate than a kick.
Cheers,
~Capt

I mean I think its already a thing but they just haven't applied it. If you do !stats on ttt (or jb idk) it'll show how many rounds you were slayed for

I remember the first time I got on TTT. I killed someone for looking at me suspiciously because I certainly didn't know the rules. I think an admin messaged me but I didn't know how to respond so I said something in say chat. I got kicked for no response. Every time I see a new player on our server, I try to put myself in their shoes. Sometimes if they've RDM'd a couple of times, I move them to spectate while linking them to the rules so they can use one round to read over them.

Whether this is more effective than a kick or not is up for debate but I would be all for allowing admins to use a slay before a kick (warn > slay > kick) if the situation warrants it.

I think it would be more fair if the admins slay the rule breakers instead of kicking them so the rulebreaker can't just rejoin when another round starts. idk
I believe something like this has been brought up cant remember though, however here's what I think, slaying before the actually round starts (the part when everyone spam pickup guns) wouldn't actually work because they could just leave and rejoin within the 20 seconds time frame. With this they would have to be kicked when the actually round starts the would completely disrupt the game, supposedly you have to kick two people within the same round and there both detectives you just ruined the round for everyone who might want to win as an innocent. As if you kick them during the round they RDM'd or broke x rule wouldn't really do as much as more than likely its late in the round or they have already done what they were supposed to, the same concept with the warmup time you don't have a role then so it wouldn't disrupt the server.

I personally don't like the warn > slay > kick idea as I feel as this gives to much power to the player if that makes sense, they have a way to many chances to RDM before they end up having a larger consequence.

As much as I would love to say some players miss it most just don't, I will have players who I more than spam the message to and they just won't reply, all of the time I get a report I will message the "RDM'er" 9 times 3 messages at a time 3 times if they can't read red text flooding there chat I can't really do much else. I wouldn't say its that they don't see it, its that they don't care enough to respond most of the time.

-1. I don't like the slay system. I got use to the kick system now and I like it way better. Also it seems when you kick people they learn their lesson faster. I remember when I would get kicked and banned a lot and seeing the screen scared me. When I got on a different server that had slays and I rdmd and got slayed it didn't really effect me. Especially I could just leave and never go back to that server.

we had rslays before and it didn't work as players really didn't learn their lesson a kick is more serious or just warning the player works too

WKB > WSK (+b for big offense) system primarily because a slay isn't as effective as a kick when it comes to getting people to learn the rules.

On GMOD, most warnings on TTT servers are reasonably accompanied by slays, as they make sense not only for being available as an admin tool in the first place but also for getting the point across. But on CS, slays would not theoretically make sense due to the basic adaptation of the gamemode.

Thing is, most players really wouldn't care about being slayed as much as they would being kicked. My experiences have shown me that players will take more time to read the rules and understand what they did wrong when being kicked compared to when they are warned. This makes them less likely to unintentionally be repeat offenders.

I remember when I would get kicked and banned a lot and seeing the screen scared me. When I got on a different server that had slays and I rdmd and got slayed it didn't really effect me. Especially I could just leave and never go back to that server.

This is another reason I'm against implementing a slay system. From personal experience as a former server hopper who is banned on most large gaming communities, I would never care about being slayed and would go back to whatever wrong I was doing (most of the time, RDM) or do it on a larger scale. But being kicked shows that we don't tolerate that kind of stuff, which instills the trust of players wanting to play in a stable environment in our community.

My fear of implementing a slay system on CS is that people will take the rules on our servers less seriously, which will cause more established players to lose trust in our communities as it will definitely convey the wrong message on how much we care about enforcing the rules :/

A kick would ideally be a slay itself, I don't really see adding another step in the WKB process being any different except more work done on the admin side of the punishment.

Considering how chaotic TTT can get, adding another step can just delay bans on Mass RDM'ers and trolls, so -1.

It should be at the discretion of an admin. It shouldn't be an extra step, it should be in the place of the kick. If a person made an honest mistake after being warned, then a slay might be more fitting. If a person really doesn't know the rules and screwed up, then you do a kick. Honestly there should be very few instances where a slay is better than a kick

Killing someone at the start of the round seems petty and I would imagine people who are new to the server or even the gamemode would leave if they are forced to spectate for 7 minutes, Being kicked sends a clear message of don't do that again

Slaying is something that we have never done as it's just simply boring. Forcing someone to sit in spectate will make someone leave the server, especially if they're new, or just go AFK and wait out the time. Players are kicked because they get the message, they're sent back to the main CS:GO screen and have to rejoin the server again. A punishment for RDM or any other rule violation is not meant as something to stop players from playing the next round, it's to get them to realize the mistake they made. Thanks for the suggestion~
