Sound

Now really i don't know how to explain this but. I went on Microsoft's site to update my pc and i downloaded the updates i needed. Well when your done updating you half to restart and i did. When i did restart i did have sound but when my pc came back up there was no sound at all. I use headphones and there is nothing wrong with the cord or the connection. Really there is no sound coming out of my pc at all. Even with speakers... Can somebody please help me fix this.

go into control panel and make sure your speakers are set as the main audio device

everything is turned up all the way.

Bad sound card is my guess, but leave that as a last option because you don't need to spend money just yet probably.
