A MEMO from the Chief Judge

Dear San Andreas Citizens,
Just to give the public an update on the recent changes that have gone on in the past week, here's what we are looking at!

1. The Department of Justice has hired District Attorney Noah Haynes, Assistant District Attorney Justin Case, and State Judge Buford T. Justice. These individuals will be helping with the revamp of the Department of Justice.

2. Criminal Cases will be back open Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 12:00 AM. Any cases that have been put on hold will resume and you will be contacted by your representative.

3. The Department of Justice is currently having a hiring incentive. If you take the Bar Survey and become a board-certified lawyer, you will receive a $100,000 sign-on bonus. Please contact a Department of Justice representative if you are interested in partaking in this organization. The application can be found here.

4. The Department of Justice is now opening applications for Chief Public Defender and the Prosecution teams. If you are interested, it is the same route as applying above but, please state what position currently interests you. If you have any questions about Chief Public Defender, contact Chief Judge Porter or State Judge Justice. If you have any questions about the Prosecution Teams, please contact District Attorney Noah Haynes or Assistant District Attorney Justin Case.

5. The Bar Exam is now no longer pass/fail. The Bar Exam will now be used as a measurement to see how much mentorship individuals will need upon joining the Department of Justice. If this is something that stopped you from applying in the past, feel free to apply now!

6. If owning your own private firm has been a dream of yours, well you have come to the right spot! The Department of Justice will be allowing Private Firms here in the near future, so please keep your eyes out for that update and apply now!

7. The Department of Justice has also now brought on two new District Attorney Investigators, DA Invs. Michael McCarthy and DA Invs. Burt Macklin. These individuals will be assisting the DA, ADA, and Prosecution teams with investigating criminal cases. If this position is something you are interested in, we will be opening up more slots in the near future, so please keep your eyes out.

8. We will be posting more changelogs to keep the public updated throughout the revamp of the Department of Justice. Stay tuned, fun stuff coming soon!

Some of you may be asking, "Well Judge Porter, why do we need another Judge?" To answer your question, the Department of Justice has been looking for another Judge since it's inception. The DoJ is now able to run more efficiently with the addition of more slots for State Judges. This also allows individuals who believe there is a conflict of interest to have a second opinion with another Judge. In the near future, the DoJ Administration will be open to adding even more elected State Judges to help bring more activity throughout our busy city. So if you are interested in being a Judge in the future, please contact Chief Judge Porter or State Judge Justice!

If there are any further questions feel free to contact the State Judge at; Ciggy#7370 (Email) or Phone Number: 3628. If you are unable to get in contact with the State Judge, feel free to contact a representative of the Department of Justice and they will be able to assist you.
