Make {!knife / !ws} supporter only perk?

An idea I and several other players had was to make the !ws and !knife commands only available to dedicated supporters! It's just another perk for those who donate to EdgeGamers! Or even make it a purchasable perk through credits on jb! Cause people gotta flex their knives and skins, but it's hard when everyone can use these commands!

It being a DS perk would kind of ruin the playing experience as most people would rather play on a server with knife/ws commands rather than a server with no knife/ws commands.

I'd love to see them add more forum-related customizable options later on.


I honestly don't understand why players are so worried about !ws we got !knife which they already didn't want to add for the most part. No need to keep pressuring them to add it when we just got !knife, why not just be happy we got that.

I know on JB that the current plan is to add it as a gang perk. Right now, it's in a bit of a trial phase to see how people like it.

The biggest problem with adding this(correct me please if I am mistaken), is that Valve has specifically banned this plugin/any similar ones, as such we would be disobeying Valve, I believe in the form of a ToS or something along those lines; and as a result, would have the servers using it Blacklisted, Banned, or otherwise removed from the server browser.

Needless to say, that is why it is difficult to find servers with these plugins.

Now, IF I AM WRONG, and it is no longer "Banned", then +100000, But otherwise it isn't worth the potential wrath of Valve

People play on servers for the quality, community and popularity. Little things like these commands won’t effect their view on the server(s)! Just look how popular we were even without them! Even with follow up servers all using including them.

People still played on the servers even without the commands. I think they’re an unneeded touch, even with word from several players that it’s more bad than good.

the skin commands for the DS(s) isn't a good idea but some skins could be given to the DS while the rest are available to everyone.

At this time we will not be looking to add this as a Dedicated Supporter feature. Further reasoning can be found here:

I appreciate the suggestion, but I am sure this would cause us more harm than good with our game server account. We would be accepting payments from players to access skins they shouldn't be able to use in the first place. While Valve hasn't taken action with game server accounts in a while, they wouldn't hesitate to strike the hammer if we implemented this suggestion.
