Greetings EdgeGamers! Garry's Mod is eagerly bringing to you the most widely anticipated feature, the FearShop!
The FearShop is an in-game Custom Pointshop that can be further expanded upon with more additives as it exists. With FearShop you are able to collect in-game currency to spend on different collections (crates) containing many different hats and accessories that you can use to up your in-game Fashion. These accessories are all created by hand, and you can anticipate new collections to come out during its existence. You are also able to obtain Golden Skins for your weapons, acquire Player Models from different collections, and have a rare chance to receive an Unusual Variant of items when you collect them. Unusual Items are items with unique, animated, special effects in the same style as Team Fortress 2.
In addition to becoming an in-game style icon, you are able to complete Challenges for different rewards ranging from Crates, Keys, Points, and Items! These challenges may ask of you to defeat hoards of zombies, or put down a number of Traitors, or complete a special objective!
You will also be able to craft new items from the number of items you receive, which will retain their chance of becoming an Unusual Variant as well! You can create items into scraps, which you can craft up into a new item!
On top of all of this, you will receive random periodic Loot Crate drops, Key Drops, and Point Drops as you play the game, and be able to Trade anything from your inventory to any other player!
However, this is not all. FearShop is 100% universal. This means that your inventory, your points, and your challenges are all applicable Cross-Server and you can use anything from FearShop on any Garry's Mod Server! This addon will continue to follow us onto any future Garry's Mod Server, and we are beyond excited to see what unique looks you can create from your accessories, and watching players trade up for each other's Unusual Hats!.
In addition to FearShop's launch, we are excited to introduce ZombieBots. A Smart AI that will assume the role of Zombies to assure that there is always a horde for you to face. The map vote system has been updated to reflect these changes and displays what maps will support ZombieBots. With this update, we've addressed numerous bugs and issues as well, and are looking forward to seeing you create your own unique in-game looks!
