The State of Towing
Citizens of San Andreas,
In the coming days our long standing towing company, San Andreas Recovery and Tow will be merging with another business in Los Santos, the Savage Speed Shop. This merger will bring several changes to how tow services are provided in the city. The Savage Speed Shop will only be contracting their tow service to the emergency services operated by the State of San Andreas. All services rendered to civilians by SSS will be carried out at the shop.
Example: A tow company would pick up a car off the streets and bring it to SSS to be repaired by SSS staff.
Currently, the only other authorized tow agency in the state is TTT Towing. So, I'm sure you're asking yourself, what does that mean for the citizens? This change brings on the chance for other tow agencies to have a piece of the action.
There are two ways for an individual to get a piece of the civilian tow pie.
1. Buy a flatbed or a truck and trailer and market yourself via Twitter or our city wide ad service. Anyone can do this, the only restriction would be that operating a flatbed would require a CDL.
OOC: The /tow command is available to anyone. Just buy a flatbed and start helping people!
2. If you wish to start a towing business with employees and a recognizable name, please submit a government request with a Standard Operating Procedure attached.
3. You could apply for employment at one of the already created businesses. (currently just TTT.)
We encourage those who are interested in becoming a licensed tow truck operator to do so. The more services we have in the city, the better!
