What's your favorite genre of movies and what's your favorite movie in that genre?

For me, I adore horror movies either with scare factor or making fun of one that is just plain stupid. At the moment I have 2 favorite horror movies and they are The Shining and A Quiet Place. The Shining is just one of those classics that are nearly perfect and executed what the crew was going for. Without a doubt one of the best in the genre. A Quiet Place isn't necessarily a perfect movie; however, I rank this movie in my top 5 based on the experience in the movie theater. They were going for something a bit different by having close to zero dialogue which allowed for the audience to be completely silent (which is surprising for a movie theater where I'm at). Just the atmosphere of the room really boosted the tension of what was happening on screen and it was one of my favorite experiences.
