New Update from the Department of Justice
Attention Citizens of San Andreas,
Citizens of San Andreas will now have the right to a Bench Trial IF a Judge is available in the city.
A Bench Trial is a trial in which you may contest any and all charges that the LSPD / BCSO / State Police are attempting to press against you immediately after arrest. You can represent yourself or have a lawyer present if available. The DOJ HIGHLY recommends that you attempt to hire a Lawyer or have one provided to you.
Keep in mind; however, that Judges have Judicial Power to add or amend charges based on evidence presented by yourself or the prosecution.
If a Bench Trial is requested, the Officer/s should make every attempt to reach a Judge via Discord Email or in city request. Failure to make an attempt to find a Judge or a lawyer for a Bench Trial after requested by an offender will result in action taken against the Officer/s involved.
If a Judge is not available, you can always contest the charges at a later date by seeking out a Lawyer to file an appeal for you.
