Steam I.D. banning

Okay, as many of you already know we had a HUGE hacker problem in the server today. What started out as a simple ban turned into a complex and very LONG ban. I made the final ban but it took me way to long to figure out the steam banning method. I thought that the numbers next to a players name in admin menu was the numbers following the 0:1:...

As it turns out it is the far left three digit sequence when you type "status" in console. I know that almost all eGOs know this, but I didn't and just wanted to let other admins out there in training or noobs like me that the easy way to ban a hacker is:

first quickly glance at the hacker's current in-game name

then type "status" in console

look for that name and quickly remember the (XXX) three digit sequence on the left of the players name

press tab one more time to check if they have changed it

if they have type "status" again and find double check for the right (XXX) sequence

ONCE YOU HAVE THAT, THEY ARE TOAST!

now pull up admin command menu

ban the matching three numbers and voila!

Another hacker is destroyed!!!

It is also NECESSARY to record a clear and distinct demo of them hacking before banning if you want them Steam banned.

And Recording a Demo Doesn't get them Steam banned, if you record a demo, you can send it to VAC, but They dont do any demos, so you send it to Steam bans, and they ban all people on servers that have The Steam Bans plugin.

Steam HATES it when people send them demos of people hacking expecting them to get Vac banned.

We do have the STEAM BAN menu and that command is SB_STATUS.. check DeathScythe's demo.

normal is just server, Steam VAC is their account being banned from VAC secured servers

and Steambans, is a server plugin that removes people recorded as cheating, visit there website www.steambans.com

I have to hold my hands up and say that i forgot about this, and i was also having problems trying to find the real haxor in the kick list/ban list. It took forever as the guy kept changing names every min or 2 and then u couldn't see if his screen was spinning or not when he died. Very Confusing, I hate these guys.

Ok Kill_Zone there are 3 things: a ban, a steam ban in which the players is banned from all servers running the steam bans plugin, and a VAC ban which pretty much bans them from VAC secure servers (I think).

So when you rank up they teach you how to steam ban and 'record demos' and all that stuff?
