!count allows Warden to count how many Ts are in the area, and it's a lifesaver since this server is packed daily.
A lot of the time, I'll hear a "can I get a count?" or "how many are in stack?" Why not let all CTs be able to use !count themselves?
The opposing argument would be that it would be overpowered, but that isn't the case at all.
Count is not so much of an advantage than it is convenience.
I bet we'd get less chat spam and fewer miscalculated free kills.

Thanks for the discussion, everyone. I like to throw out ideas here and there and bounce them off of the community to see where they land. This one was unpopular and that’s OK. I actually agree with basically every argument that has been brought up. It seems like !count should definitely stay as is or, maybe as Buster said it should have a cooldown to give more time to rebellers.

Yeah but this means wardens need to learn the skill of unstacking the prisoners in a calm fashion, physically counting them, and then doing that within a quick time frame so the round isn’t extended to oblivion. Wardens that learn this skill will learn many others, which in my opinion will make for better guards and wardens.
And then you only had eight minutes instead of ten, and the round wasn't extended when you hit LR... lmao you guys have it so easy it's insane....

As this would benefit CT Mains, its already Ct Sided on most maps. This is a big no from me.

Probably just repeated whats been said, but here's my opinion

I feel like giving everyone on guard the ability to count could be iffy since guards can pursue rebellers and just say they used the count command. A counter to that would be you could put a cool down on it and when they use the command, put a message in chat for all guards to see (such as "Spare counted #" or something like that), just like the warden does. Also another iffy thing could be a ct uses the command and an object blocks a t and creates a miscount. You could have them reassure with the warden but again this could be iffy

I'm not 100% for this to be implemented cause it's a bit op and cts are toxic as is, but it could help reduce mic spam and such. Interesting idea though Spencer Spencer

Are you referring to your post? You’ve added nothing to the conversation, but you have derailed it and discouraged others from sharing their thoughts. You made a conscious decision to go to the forums and click “Suggestions.” Were you expecting every post to ricochet in your suffocating echo chamber? My guess is that you didn’t read any of my other posts where I agree with what others have said and change my mind! But you thought to spit out your disposable opinion. Next time I see you on JB, I’ll be sure to complete hard jump and headshot your CT main ass.

He's talking about his own post which in itself doesn't make it any better; but I don't think know that's targeted at u

I’m not being serious with that one. Everyone, including myself, agrees that !count should not be buffed. I don’t think there is more to add.

!count is already op for wardens who dedicated their entire life's mission to shooting rebellers.
giving it to guards would make rebelling a harder task than painting the Sistine chapel
sorry, but this just would be a terrible idea. thanks for creating an interesting discussion about it though

sorry for semi necro but -1 like someone else said, Cts would abuse and pursue rebellers early

Yes it would be a good idea letting all cts use !count but. Lets say a new player comes into the server and everyone is using !count, that just takes away the benefit of rebelling as T and could discourage said new player from playing again because everyone else is doing his job. it would also be unfair cause thats like playing a match where all cts are warden and at the point id say just let everyone be warden if everyone can use his powers, think about that one.
Not only would it be convenient, but some wardens are a bit lazy or don't know the command to count Ts on screen, choosing to not use it at all. If CTs were able to count Ts on screen it can clear confusion whether or not there are active rebellers, and could be used in other situations to help CTs pursue the round.
and again it would be nice beamer but then at that point just play the minigames server cause there would be no point in rebelling if every ct knew there were rebellers. i feel like it would take away from the fun in sneaking around the map to get to a secret, and coming from a person who doesnt main either (no diss cause i know both of you are ct mains) the confusion in cts is what makes them learn and make them a better ct in the long run, the confusion also helps to make good rebels and help being able to sneak up on the ct team and maybe kill warden or other cts and spark a rebel for that round. for both of you i just dont think its a good idea to let all cts have the power to use !count

At this time we will not be allowing guards to have access to this command. Thanks for the suggestion~
