I'm trying to build a PC! Help!

The least I can say is, I'm not very tech savvy. I'm interested in purchasing a PC, but I'm very in dark on what is good or bad. I do some photoshop and a little video editing, but mostly play games such as CSGO and TF2. I current run on a AMD Ryzen 3 laptop with integrated graphics, I get about 75-90 fps on all low settings on CSGO. Obviously there are fps drops so it is not best suited for my needs, im looking to get at least 120+ frames on max settings on csgo and able to run GTA V at decent frames.

Now my budget, my budget is anywhere between $700-$850, is this even possible to achieve? If so could someone help me?

I first of all will say If your trying to stay at 700-800 DO NOT by a pre-build.My gtx 1050 prebuild is 1200, I could of probably got it for 900$ if I built it my self. So First of all Your gonna have to stay low tier, Focus more on building ur pc then ur peripherals, I would recommend something like a i5 as cpu and a gtx 1050 or lower, Try to save as much money on the monitor,( i.e 60hz) And try not to get a expensive case. Try to get a small desk (if your getting one) don't buy a second monitor. Make sure all the parts fit each other so you DO not have to buy extra cables. Am sorry if I couldn't give you exact parts (that would be hard as I don't know your prefernce) But this is my guide on how you can stay on a budget while building a gaming pc.

so ya, Look around on youtube, Look for a pc on ebay or cragslist or kijiji also, if your ok with that stuff.

LukePyro LukePyro does this budget include or exclude monitor, keyboard, mouse etc? Are you opposed to having a smaller case/motherboard, etc? (It's a very viable option and cheapen things a bit more even.

Are you interested in learning to build your own? It's very easy, lots of youtube videos, everything only really fits in one way - it's quite hard to mess up.

I fine with the building part, I'm sure ill need assistance via youtube when it comes to building. I have a monitor, I have a mic/headset, I would need a keyboard, preferably mechanical and a mouse. I dont mind what it looks like, as long as it performs well.

Buster Buster 's build is pretty good. Forgot the power supply though dude!

I have one here - smaller form factor, a few bucks above budget but not far off from Buster's build. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XpN93. It's actually quite similar to the current build I'm running and have been quite happy with. I think it's sort of like lower side of the mid-tier builds, but would get you off the ground well and let you upgrade down the road still. You're getting some fairly decent, current-gen parts too.

I should chuck this out there for good measure - if you're willing to spend upwards of $1200-1300 maybe, you would be set for a VERY long time. This is very much a spend more now, save more later game. Less upgrading, higher end parts, last longer.

the way I got my pc is just waiting for like 3 years till it was gifted to me xd, Am also a minor with no job
 
Small issue with that build. That motherboard won't work with the processor unless you update the bios first, which you need a second gen ryzen processor to do. So you'd be better off upping that to a b550 board, not to mention all the new features.

For example, something like this is using the last gen platform and it's pretty good budget wise. You'd get a much better graphics card for the same price point, not to mention a PSU too haha

It is worth noting that this is a mini ATX build, so it is quite small. You should do some research into different cases from Bequiet, coolermaster, nzxt, fractal, and the whole lot to see who's cases you like the most and want to build in. Also if you want a big build or not.

Also for the building aspect, it's basically just a giant lego. The hardest part is getting the cables around the computer, don't worry about it.
 
are set on either intel or amd? Do you have a preference on size of the case?

I don't mind on the appearance or size of case as long as it doesn't take up a shit ton of space. As long as it preforms well, that's all I'm concerned about.

I posted a build just waiting for moderator for some reason,
if u dont want a big case I suggest mATX or mini ITX, you cant SLI or Crossfire, but it is tiny, on an itx ur ram is limited to 2 sticks, but ram is cheap rn so 32gb is doable
 
Busters build is good, but I would honestly spend the extra money to get a 1660 because a graphics card is one of the most important things to have in a gaming build, you do get what you pay for there

If Anything i would wait until the 3000 series gpu's come out for nvidia, itll drop the price of the 1080ti and the 2070
