There was a guy playing on the server today who I havent seen yet. He spent the whole time I played screaming about what trash his teammates were. Finally I got tired of him screaming at us to "stop camping" which some of us were (myself not included). In an attempt to get him to stop yelling constantly, I rushed the bombsite at the front of the team. As soon as I died, and that was pretty quick of course, he kicked me from the server. I rejoined the server a little confused by the mixed signals I was getting and decided just to follow him and see how he played so that I could work with his play style better. He ran a few feet out of spawn then stopped and turned around as though waiting for fodder to go in before him. When he noticed I had stopped too, and was waiting on him to lead the way, he kicked me again.
I got into Edge gamers on a DOD:S server probably 10 years ago and those guys would do a lot of encouraging people not to camp, and telling people they should play the objectives. I never saw anyone get kicked for being sub par or less than ideal at the game. I have seen that on servers titled "Veterans only" or Veteran server or no noobs allowed. I have not ever seen that happen on a server without those tags and it really felt as though this guy was pitching a fit and kicking people just because his team was losing. He even said at one point "I am going to go join CT and destroy you guys". That is a statement that comes from a frustrated individual no doubt. The problem I have is that I cant just mute him and carry on, because he has the power to interfere with my gameplay. I am not going to get better at the game if I cant play it. Please tell me this is an issue for more players than just myself.
