XPS Computers.

Does anyone have a Dell XPS computer? I've been looking into buying one of these but I wanted to know if they are any good or not. I've had this four-year-old Dell laptop so I'm in need for a new one. Thanks in advance.

haha well i guess its depending on what you want... if you are experienced and you understand how to build your own, do that.... but i guess the topic is about XPS pcs, so ill give you advice on those..

I have heard that they are decent computers, depending on what you want it to do, and depending on what you want to spend... if you can put that info up, im pretty sure i could hop up one i could build compared to a XPS.

my xps 720 rocks, and last november, it was cheaper than the piece by piece setup i was going to build with similar specs. And it came with a 3 year in home warranty to boot.. Am i scared to build my own system?? No I have built at least 20 with my last two being totally water cooled and overclocked to a scary level. My only wish was a more open bios in the xps720. The xps630 and 730 have totally open bios just like a built pc and get around that problem. Happy hunting and lookout for killer dell deals and coupons, i saved 500 instantly and got a 300 dollar gift card. With that being said, if you want a good prebuilt and are weary of dell the premades at cyber power pc are Very good and very competitive with dell.

Seems like they are pretty good. I guess I'll look a little more into it and then make my final decision.

well dell aint that great but their laptops are troopers from what ive seen. my friend has a 5 or 6 year dell inspiron 1100 and hes dropped it and what not and it still works fine. We've upgraded the 20gb to a 60gb and it mobs. It can actually play ut2k4 on low settings @ 640x480, my goal is to get it to play source lol
